The Prado is a great restaurant with beautiful ambience and great food. It's a nice place to relax at lunchtime or in the evening after walking around the Park.

“Good food, great outdoor patio”

Lovely location inside the Prado, lovely view from outdoor terrace. Good food. Really good service. It can get crowded later, came early for dinner.

“Surprisingly delicious!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2013

We didn't expect Prado to be fantastic, given its location within the park. But it was honestly the best meal we had in San Diego. The waiter was so attentive, and engaging - we had some great chats with him about the restaurant, the park, and San Deigo overall. The decor and ambiance are lovely. And the food and drinks were absolutely fantastic - solid wine-by-the-glass list, and many delish and unique non-alcoholic options as well (the pear soda was amazing!). We each thoroughly enjoyed our dishes - a good mix of seafood and vegetarian options, if that's necessary for your group. Highly recommend a stop here during your Balboa Park visit.

“Worth it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2013

It lived up to the hype. Great food, service, and ambiance. Calamari fries were the best. Fish taco was fresh and flavorful.

“It was worth the line!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2013

I was told this was a good spot to eat after the "Art Alive" exhibit, and it was! I ordered Fish Tacos, and it came with mahi and jicama salad, mango and a purple cabbage thing. I could taste the delicate corn tortilla lifting up all the flavors. The garden is pretty gorgeous too. Way way better than you'd expect in a museum area. I wish DC had something like it!
