We visited this restaurant after a long hike through the park. We had noticed it on our other trips to the park but had never previously checked it out and were very pleasantly surprised. So often, restaurants in "tourist destinations" take advantage of visitors because they are "the only game in town" and serve mediocre food with mediocre or worse service and high prices. With the Prado, this was absolutely not the case. The restaurant is done in Spanish/Moorish style and is absolutely beautiful and charming inside. there is a large patio area available for outdoor dining. It is a large restaurant, so we were seated without a wait but no seats on the patio were available. The server realized we were hot from hiking and was very courteous about refilling our water and sodas generously. The food is a great mixture of "top chef" type menu items, great vegan dishes, and sandwiches and burgers. I had the steamed mussels, which were excellent and a generous enough portion to share. My son had the pig burger and enjoyed it immensely. The fries were fresh and crispy. The menu clearly marks items which are vegetarian or vegan. It was a little pricey for lunch ($38 for 2) but we certainly didn't need a big dinner. (we just had soup later!). This would be an absolutely gorgeous location for a wedding reception or other celebration. Beautiful restaurant in an absolutely beautiful location, with lots of great photographic "scenes" in the immediate vicinity for bridal shots.
