“Nice atmosphere”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013 via mobile

Our meal itself was good, but Do NOT order the stuffed mushroom caps off the appetizer menu, they are nothing like the description and are nothing more than breaded deep fried mushrooms. The waitress tried rectify the issue, but what could she really do, they just sucked.

“Favorite Gaslamp Hangout”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013

Ambiance, friendly gathering place, great fish and chips. Great service. Many waiters and waitresses are from Ireland, lovely accents and friendly. Sunday afternoons feature traditional Irish music and dancers.

“Authentic”

This place is the real deal. They claim to have shipped every part of it directly from Ireland--and it shows. Oh, and gorgeous scintillating waitresses'll keep you smiling.

“Overall good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013

The Field did feel more like an Irish pub/restaurant than others in the states. The food was good and plentiful. There was no crowd so the atmosphere was quiet. They did have a singer entertaining the customers but I wouldn't say he was singing a lot of authentic Irish tunes. Overall if you are in the Gaslamp Quarter this place is worth a look/meal.
