“Service with an Attitude”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2013

Busalacchis was recommended to us by the hotel, and after a full day of traveling it seemed like a good choice. What can I say, we were greeted at the front door with "an attitude". Not the way to start an evening meal, because after that everything was uphill. The waiter was helpful, but the menu required a bit of adjustment. The food... Very good. This was of course a restaurant, so we were finally able to get to the crux of every restaurant, the food.

So, if Busalacchi's could raise to the height of their food they would be an excellent restaurant, but in San Diego, you have many choices. I don't need attitude with my dinner.

“Excellent Happy Hour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2013

Amazing food, smaller (normal size) portions, gourmet taste. Try the Bolognese! Charles is the best bartender! He really makes you feel special. He will make you feel like your the only people in the place. He has excellent recommendations. We have frequented this place on many occasions..Birthdays, wedding anniversaries, and every time (whether we spend $50 or $150) we are treated like honored guests. Family and gay friendly.

“Delightful evening”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013 via mobile

My partner and I ate here for our anniversary. We had had a previous meal inside and the experience was underwhelming. Friends insisted we return so this time we ate on the heated patio. The meal was very good and the service attentive. We had the three small plate combination for appetizers at $26. Included carpaccio, ahi and bruschetta. My entre swordfish was tasty and moist. My partner's seafood pasta was really wonderful- lots of shellfish and small amount of fresh pasta. The setting is warm and friendly. We will return and are happy that out return visit proved so positive. A tip--if you like eating in a busier and more joyful atmosphere, outside is best. During both our visits the inside was nearly empty.

“Busalachi's A Modo Mio on 5th Ave.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2012

On Christmas Eve, our family wanted to have a dining experience after an inspiring bit of Christmas music. We had dined at this newer restaurant ~one year ago and thought of it again. Although they were closing earlier on Christmas Eve, they accommodated us and provided fine wine and food, accompanied by excellent service. We will keep going back again and again to this fine Italian restaurant. The Busalachi family operates a number of San Diego restaurants, all of whch are excellent.
