First time in San Diego, hotel was a great location, easy access and walking distance to most amenities. Rooms were very clean rooms, lots of towels and very comfortable bed and bedding, food in restaurant was also very good too.

I chose Omni because of its location to Petco Park. We took a trip to California to see the Phillies olay at different parks. This hotel is connected to Petco park bia skybridge. It is a great choice if you want to stay local. Upon check in we were treated like first class. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, the concierage is amazing. They helped is get tickets to the zoo with a discount, were able to tell the easiest way to travel there. The rooms are so nice. The bed is so soft, our view was of the bay and convention center. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The bathroom was very big and the door to the bathroom is a sliding glass door. There are comfy robes left for you. There is a mini bar in the room but very expensive, 7 dollars for water 4 dollar for a candy bar. The room comes with the essentials a little 2 cup coffee pot, safe, iron and such. The hotel has a beautiful pool area located on the 6 th floor with a waterfall and bar. There is a shop called Morsels where you can buy coffee, pastries, snacks and sundries. The price of things there is a little over priced and the selection is limited so I would recommend walking to the cvs a few blocks up or to one of the many shops along gaslamp area to purchase some drinks. There is a resturant Mccormick and Schmicks where you can have a formal sit down dinner or go to the bar that offers good drinks and great happy hour specials ranging from 2.95 to 6.95 and include options like fish tacos, mussels, cheeseburger, sweet potato fries, calamari, edammame, shrimp, bbq sliders and such. Great price but there is a minimum 3.95 drink purchase.

The area is cool for resturants, shopping, bars and clubs. There are taxis everywhere and a trolly that goes along the coast. I highly recommend this hotel for business or leisure. It is california and a higher end hotel so it is expensive.

Walking distance to the Gaslamp Quarter & movie theatre... You could throw a penny at Petco Park from your room and be able to hit it! Clean rooms, and friendly staff! We were kept up by sound of train right next to our room. Almost $40 to park a day is OUTRAGEOUS. Would stay again, though.

Overall we liked our stay at the OMNI. Its a very clean, new hotel with excellent service. Conveniently located in the Gaslamp district. Room is a nice size. Pool area is quite nice, and they serve drinks and food if you need.

Room Tip: If your room does not face the water, get the highest floor possible. Otherwise, you are facing a p...

The Omni is located right next to Petco Park. So if you are a baseball fan (like me & my husband are), then this is the place to stay! Many restaurants within walking distance, convenient stores, etc. Rooms have a great view as well.

If you are visiting San Diego and don't know where to stay, stay at the Omni. The Omni is strategically located among restaurants, shopping, Convention Center and Petco Park (home of the San Diego Padres). Everything is within walking distance. The staff of the Omni is warm, friendly, and welcoming. Hotel amenities are excellent. The restaurant McCormick & Schmick's has excellent food and is well worth your hard earned money. If you are visiting San Diego for a ballgame or convention staying at The Omni will save you the headache of parking with their convenient and friendly valet parking. So, if you are looking for a place to stay in San Diego consider The Omni you won't be disappointed.

I came out for a conference at the Convention Center but had time to really enjoy the area. I am 28 so being so close to the Gaslamp District (and a Nordstrom) was so awesome!! Loved all the nearby restaurants and bars. Enjoyed the pool--it was so relaxing and loved the wait staff, they were so incredibly nice and provided super fast, congenial service.
