“Beautiful Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

Stayed here for work for a week and it was fantastic. The hotel itself was beautiful and in a fantastic location. Within walking distance to lots of restaurants and stores.

The rooms were really nice and well stocked with anything you might need and they were really sleek and modern. The hotel and the rooms were really clean and you could tell that the staff really cares about their hotel. It was a pleasure staying here and I would not hesitate to do it again, if ever in San Diego.

“Great”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2012

In the heart of downtown and still quiet, clean and best attention. We loved our stay. Just dont forget you have to pay parking. Still worth it. Great view to the convention center. We loved the city more.

Room Tip: Great price at priceline.

“Good location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

We wanted to stay in the Gaslamp District. This hotel was very clean and conveniently located. Wish the pool and hot tub had a better view, but at least it was near the water. We will definitely stay here again on our future adventures in San Diego.

“Perfect location, friendly and comfy!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Love this place for the perfect location and extremely pleasant service. The pool is very nice and the snack/food selection at the pool, is reasonable and good. Our appetizer was a little late, and they made it complimentary, which was not necessary, but a nice surprise. They are courteous and willing to work with you if your room is near a "noisy" patron. I can't wait to stay there again and will definately reccommend it to other visitors to SD. My only complaint would be the beds are doubles, instead of queens, which can make it tight if you are sharing.

Room Tip: Make sure you ask for a quiet room, if possible.

“Great base for a business trip”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Stayed for a business trip in October 2012 and had a great time. The location couldn't be better for the Gaslamp District and sea-front and you can pretty much walk anywhere else easily - so many great restaurants and bars right on your doorstep and SD being pretty small, a taxi anywhere else is pretty cheap.

I think us Brits are always pretty impressed with US hotels because they're just so much bigger, but even by the standards of other American hotels I've stayed in, this was great. Lovely big rooms with all mod-cons, good shower and plenty of power points in useful places - always a bug-bear of mine! I was also pleased to find local craft beer in the mini-bar - so much better than the same old stuff you get in every hotel!

Pool area is really nice and although I didn't go for a swim myself, it was certainly big enough for laps by the looks of things and there was a separate jacuzzi area so those that felt like lounging didn't get in the way of pool-swimmers.

Had breakfast both in the Terrace Bar by the pool and the in-house Starbucks, both of which were great and really well priced. Also had room service one night and the tacos were excellent!

I actually ended up being stranded in SD for a few extra nights because of Sandy-related flight cancellations and the staff couldn't have been any more helpful, even putting me into a bigger and better room for the 'inconvenience' of having me move! Couldn't have been more pleasant in organising my extra nights.

I'd definitely visit again if I was in San Diego on vacation rather than business and would recommend to colleagues if they were in the city too!

Only complaint would be lack of breakfast - I think that's pretty normal in the US, it does make an extra expense.
