“Clean, county centrally located with a friendly staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2011

I used a free marriot reward nite at this residence inn. It is central to a lot of business in the rancho bernardo, scripps ranch, mira mesa and only 20 minutes from downtown and the airport.
You need a car to get to places, but the hotel is a typical Residence Inn, very new and clean and right on the freeway, two restaurants and 1 fast food in walking distance.

The staff was very helpful, the breafast great, had a good experience

This hotel is one of the best I have ever stayed at. Hotel and staff were excellent and no problem about having my pets with me. Great location and almost every night they have a meal option right onsite. Great rooms and location. Would definatley stay there again and again.

Room Tip: If travelling with pets, ask for a room near an exit.

My husband, son and daughter-in-law stayed at the Residence Inn San Diego Scripps Poway Parkway, at the suggestion of our other son and daughter-in-law who live in San Diego. It was a wonderful place in which to stay. The enterior is lovely and comfortable. The people are all friendly and helpful. They all made our stay so enjoyable. The breakfast and dinner in the evening was wonderful and plentiful. We loved our suite and it provided plenty of room and privacy. They even offer reduced rates on tickets for the San Diego Zoo, which we absolutely loved. The people who work here really appear to love their jobs and everyone is smiling and always in a good mood. The gal at the reception desk even came to our aid when we had a problem with the interior lights on our rental car. We highly recommend this place and look forward to returning the next time we are in San Diego.

Stayed here for a week in July. Rooms are newly renovated and beautiful suites with LCD TV, free internet, breakfast, parking and happy hour.

If I had to complain it would be that rooms facing the main road could be noisy early in the morning.

Went on a family trip to San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park and this was in between the two parks and close to the freeway. After a day at San Diego Zoo drove about 30 minutes to the Residence Inn that is in a upscale neighborhood of Rancho Bernado and not far from the freeway but far enough that there was no noise from the freeway. Typical Residence Inn floorplan. Got two studio suites to accommodate everyone. Got the rooms for $75 through priceline. Parking is not a problem and it is on a cul-de-sac which has a fast food place(Wendy's), two restaurants(Chili's and Firegrille) and a service station so all you need. Walked to the Firegrille restaurant for dinner(great sourdough bread).

They have a free breakfast buffet which was excellent. Scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage and bacon. Plus the usual cold cereal, pastries and fruit. They also had make your own waffles which my daughter had and said they were excellent. Then off to Wild Animal Park which was 20 minutes away.

Has everything you would need. Although a little far from every where in San diego, it is worth the money.

Whether you're with family or friends this place is set up to deliver living quarters that are clean, comfortable and have everything you need to set yourself up a home from home. The kitchen's are wonderful, the bathrooms spacious and the living quarters set out beautifully. The facilities are fabulous with everything you might expect from a hotel plus that little bit extra that makes you feel like you're getting true, quality service and value for money.
We stayed in a two bedroom apartment, then when our male friend left, we moved to a one bed with sofa bed in the living room. Both suites exeeding expectations, the second being simply a smaller version of the first. Even as two ladies alone, we feel safe, secure and well looked after here. The complimentary food is better than one might expect and the servce is impeccable. The cleaning staff are superb and reception make us feel we are the most important people on the planet whenever we speak to them.
Thoroughly enjoying our stay here still and would recommend this place to anyone.
You will need a car to get into the city but where don't you in the US? To be honest, the open skies that are found out here a little way out of the city are worth the extra few minutes of petrol and we are quickly discovering that the coutryside, deserts, forests and lakes are pulling us even more than San Diego itself. So, this location is a perfect compromise and a lot more peaceful than the inner city hotel we first looked at.

Room Tip: Just ask at reception - they are so helpful!
