“Best breakfast and best service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013

Delicious fresh made breakfast (way more than we could eat). The blueplate specials are excellent and the pancackes are very fluffy. The service was also excellent and all round a very good dining experience. We both had coffee and the kids had hot chocolate and they also give you additional refills to go for both.

“Scrumptious and plentiful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013

We got $10 breakfast coupons from Wyndham hotel next door, and were very suprised to find a fantastic menu, and the most efficient and accommodating waiter! He brought a little bowl of complimentary fruit for our 3 yr old grandson soon as we sat down...Then brought us a surprise of a big hot muffin! Oh my goodness he is a 5 star !!! The food was more than delicious and the prices were SO inexpensive....We all ordered something different so we could taste test....YUMMMM on the eggs, the pancakes, the sausage, bacon....ohhhh yummmm...This dining experience really was over the top, combined with the star room and service we had from the Wyndham!!!! Wish we had a Du Pars here in Ft Worth!

“The best service and great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

We ate at Du-Par's because we were staying at a nearby hotel. We didn't know what to expect, but we were surprised to find delicious, made from scratch food. It was always perfectly cooked and seasoned, portions nicely sized, and there was a good selection. The price was very reasonable. The hotcakes were fabulous, the fruit cup fantastically fresh, and the homemade jams the best I've ever tasted.

The service was fantastic. Every morning we were greeted by our wonderful hostess Becca, who made sure we got our drinks quickly, and was great with our daughter. Our waiter Adolpho moved quick as can be, and really kept things moving. He was very nice, and quick with a smile. They both clearly made customers their priority, which is often lacking these days.

“World's best hotcakes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2013 via mobile

Three days of breakfast. Grandson ordered hot cakes and hot chocolate every time. He loved this. If we could spend more time in San Diego we would have more meals. The adults tried various blueplate specials. Oh, they are great. Coffee is plentiful. Hot cakes are fluffy. French toast was thick and succulent. The decor is pleasant and airy. Service is prompt. The price may strike some as high, but it finances large portions. Really large.

“Pancakes... Large Portions”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

We ate here for breakfast while staying at Wyndham Garden next door. Was always seated almost immediately by a friendly hostess.

Living in Vegas, we get used to cheap food, so the prices were a little higher than we are normal to, but its a tourist spot and the portions were large and filling. Filled us up for the day of tours and traveling...

The food was delicious. On day one, I had the pancakes. Large and fluffy!! Did not like that the syrup is delivered in a measured cup. With pancakes this large? Need to let the customer pour what they need or want..

Second day was omlettes. Again, large and fresh ingredients. Loved it. - If you leave here hungry, its your own fault!

Service was ok on the first day and by that I mean the waiter (forgot name) was slow to come back for refills. But order was taken fast and friendly with suggestions and of course, the push for pie. The food arrived hot and in good time. . Second day was better, faster and friendlier...

Place was always clean and with enough room to space everyone out so you could carry on a conversation at normal levels and not hear what the next table was talking about.
