Just stopped to see the views of the ocean during the middle of the day. Very good views but didn't stay very long

“Beautiful scenery”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2013

Great place to enjoy the unique trees and the costal scenery. Don't forget to take your own food as nothing available there.

“Beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2013

What a beautiful view of the Pacific ocean. There are lots of hiking trails ranging from easy to changeling. This is one of the most beautiful places to enjoy nature and the sea breezes and well worth the trip.

“From the desert to the ocean!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2013

If you like taking a stroll, or a fast paced walk, or a jog, or mountain biking, and enjoy the burst of unusual beauty, this is for you. One pays to get into the reserve, and may take your car to the top and walk down the well organised paths to the ocean .... Or park your car closer to the entrance (not much space there), and take a heart pumping hike to the top and around, and then walk to the ocean and take a dip! There are a variety of different routes one can take, depending on your level of fitness. It is quite warm, take your water bottle, which you can refill at the top. Info centre at the top is quite comprehensive. No restaurant or food facility. The walk/runway is well sign posted. The views are drop dead gorgeous over the wetlands, and when you reach the summit, over the Pacific - take your breath away! Go and enjoy!

“Great for calming”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2013

Get ready for a walk. We started 4:30pm on the beach, walked a good distance, took lots of pictures, then went up to the hiking part, and got back to the parking lot at 7. Parking is $15. There are some free spots overlooking the water right on the highway, but those are hard to get. It was very misty for most of the time we were there, but the sun shone through later. It was weird how chilly misty it was at the beach, but not so in neighboring areas. The water is chilly. Good for walking in, but might be too cold to swim in. Bring sneakers and a bathing suit.
