“Great for calming”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2013

Get ready for a walk. We started 4:30pm on the beach, walked a good distance, took lots of pictures, then went up to the hiking part, and got back to the parking lot at 7. Parking is $15. There are some free spots overlooking the water right on the highway, but those are hard to get. It was very misty for most of the time we were there, but the sun shone through later. It was weird how chilly misty it was at the beach, but not so in neighboring areas. The water is chilly. Good for walking in, but might be too cold to swim in. Bring sneakers and a bathing suit.

Great hike up the mountain trail. Once you get to the top, the view is breathtaking. You feel like you could touch the sky. It is so beautiful. Not to mention the great exercise. Loved loved loved it.

“Torrey Pines”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

Loved the scenery and the hiking trails. It was very hot the day we went and we weren't prepared as we should have been with water etc. Haas a little museum that's fun and the people working there are happy to tell you where to go. :)

“Beautiful Park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

We hiked from the parking lot to the beach. I highly recommend it for anyone in decent physical condition. Substantial elevation change down to the beach and then a reasonably difficult hike back up.

“Ideal Place for Hiking”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

The reserve is a great place to hike, because of the established trails, and the spectacular view of the sea. The cool San Diego climate makes it an ideal place to have a leisurely walk or a jog, passing through several plant species including the Torrey pines. A sidetrip to the golf course, where Tiger Woods claimed several victories, is another added attraction.
