“Awesome for young and old, don't miss it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Going to Torrey Pines Park is an opportunity to view native California at it's finest. There is a beautiful sandy beach for picnics and a drive up the windy hill into the park's core offers a small museum and access to easily traveled trails to walk among the native shrubs and see rabbits, roadrunners, and lizards. For the more robust hikers that are trails down to the beach from the top.

“A great place for a walk.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

I liked the wildness of this beach. Restrooms near the parking. There is free parking along the road, state day use pay parking lot as well. Lots of people out for a walk or jog.

“great afternoon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

On our last day in the area we decided to head to Torrey Pines to kill part of the afternoon on our way to the SD airport. Easy, safe hikes for families with spectacular views of the rugged coast from above the ocean. A good two hours spent.

“I enjoyed other beaches in the area better”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2013

To be fair we did visit on a cloudy day, and we did get harrassed by the seagulls and chip monks who are very good at stealing lunches. It is a little more remote, just not my type of beach.

“Beautiful view!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2013

So many trails. Views are beautiful it's a great hike adventure to do with family. There are many areas's where you can take many beautiful pictures with your family or friends. Although, the public areas get crowded easily but if you will have enough time when it's your turn. But do try it. No food allowed.
