Stayed here twice - once with a car and once without. This is a recently renovated hotel with large rooms, that are very clean. The rooms were certainly the best feature of the hotel. Each room was equiped with a refrigerator and single cup coffeemaker. The price was very good too ($104/night). The hotel served a decent breakfast buffet, but the cost was high. Free internet was fast. There was no restaurant to speak of, only a bar and bistro that served wraps and burgers behind a glass counter. The location is relatively poor. Located right off an major interstate - there is considerable road noise. There are no restaurants within a short walking distance except the expensive restaurants at the Town and Country Resort across the highway. Most restaurants 1 mile away - far for walking at night, but OK if you have a car. The hotel charges a large parking fee ($14/day) making the cost of keeping a car high. I think next time I will stay near downtown - which is a better location for walking around. However, the price of this location is a detinite plus for the quality of room. So if price/value for nice room is your criteria and you don't care about location - this is your place. But if location is important - there are better choices downtown.

Dear drichrx,

Thank you very much for detailing your experience for other travelers by completing the review on our property. We appreciate all of your compliments on our large, clean and renovated accommodations. Our deluxe rooms are, indeed, one of our best features and we are delighted that you feel our affordable rates are a definite plus for the quality of rooms that we offer. Our parking fee, however, is commensurate with other properties in our area. Please keep in mind most downtown hotels will have higher parking fees; that's only if they don't include this fee in their higher rates.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us. We hope to see you again!

Sincerely,
John Blem, General Manager

This place was extremely clean and the staff was very friendly and well-informed. The room was immaculate and internet access was free in my room. Enjoyed relaxing by the beautiful pool and jacuzzi. Plenty of parking (though it does cost $14 per night) and superb location with easy freeway access. Ask for a high floor so you can enjoy the view of Mission Valley. Rate was a little over $100 pe night which is outstanding for a hotel of this quality in San Diego.

We had a number of people travelling with us, ranging in age from elderly to young teenagers and everyone in our party had a great time! The staff was very accomodating and friendly. The pool area was very inviting and relaxing. The bistro served great food and was very convenient for meals on the go.
The location of the hotel makes it close to everything; however, it is the friendly, enthusiastic staff that makes this hotel a great place to stay in San Deigo!

Our entire staff is ecstatic! We can't thank you enough for such an excellent review. It is so rewarding for all of us to hear that your entire group, ranging in age from teenagers to elderly, had a great time! It means so much to us when our guests not only enjoy our accommodations and great amenities, but also our friendly and enthusiastic customer service! You are right; our location is close to everything, which is definitely an added bonus! We are also pleased to hear that you and your family enjoyed our heated pool and The Bistro. The convenience of the Starbucks espresso bar, gourmet fare, grab-n-go meals, and full bar is appreciated by all of our guests. Again, thank you for your time in reviewing our property. We look forward to your family's next visit!

The renovations were fabulous. The lobby is open, clean, and inviting. The rooms are clean, quiet, and comfortable. Check-in was fast and the auto-check-out is even faster. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a great experience in this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. This is a non-smoking hotel located near everything. At first I had wanted to stay near the downtown area thinking there would be more going on but couldn't be happier with the location of this hotel. The hotel had a recent renovation and was very upscale. The Bistro had good food and while a tad pricey, the portions were large. Convenient computer area, wireless service, boarding pass printers and an area with tv and Wii gaming for the kids. The pool was just the right temperature and had towels available and there is a 24 hour fitness center. Our room was very modern we had a king bed and the mattress was excellent, it was so comfortable! We didn't use the maid service daily but she was always in the halls and gladly gave us anything we needed. Flat screen tv, refridgerator, coffee maker (Starbucks served downstairs) and plenty of outlets to plug in cell phones, laptops, etc. Only complaint would be the amount of closet/drawer space but we managed to make it work. Most places do not offer free parking and downtown there were places I researched that were up to $35 per night, this was $14 per night.
You are able to jump on all the major road within a minute of leaving the hotel making it very easy to get to Sea World, Zoo, Balboa Park, Downtown, Beaches, Harbor. Also just the other side of the highway are many nice dining places and shopping at the Fashion Valley Mall. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend staying here for your trip as well. Got a great deal on Expedia.

Dear ZmeisterJane,

We can't thank you enough for all of your wonderful compliments on our property! It is so rewarding for our entire staff to hear that our guests love our property as much we do! As you mentioned, we are, indeed, located near everything. All of the San Diego attractions, as well as restaurants and shopping, are a very short drive away. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed dining at our Bistro and that you found some time to relax in our heated pool. Also, we appreciate your note in regard to our parking fee. It is true that our fee is considerably lower than many of the other hotels in the area. Thank you for your time in detailing your experience to share with other travelers and your recommendation of our property. We hope to see you again in the near future.

Regards,
John Blem, General Manager
