“Relaxing experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

We had a great sail with Capt Greg, who pointed out all wild as well as trained animals (sea lions, dolphins, etc.) as we sailed into the Pacific ocean. We had a gorgeous view of San Diego and- best of all- unlimited wine, beer, and snacks! Although there wasn't an eclectic selection of alc (mainly Bud, Millers, Tecate), it was worth it.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a nice review! Captain Greg will be pleased to know you had a wonderful time. We are very fortunate to have the most exceptional Captain's and crew available working with us. The crew strives to make each trip memorable for our guests while providing an up-close personal and intimate experience. We are sorry you were a little a little disappointed about the beer on the boat. We serve a nice, plentiful-stocked selection of basic beers because they come in a can and we don’t want to have a lot of glass in the cockpit. Glass can be dangerous. Guests can make a request for a different beer (even if it comes in a glass) or they are welcome to bring their own. If you join us again please remind us that you may want a different beer and we can make those arrangements. Thanks again for the review and we hope to host you again! Happy Travels!

“Beautiful & Peaceful Sail”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2013

Stan M. This is the first time my wife and I sailed in San Diego. We had an amazing time with Captain Art. He was full of knowledge of the area and what we saw as we sailed towards the Mexica waters. It was neat to see the Coronado landscape. The sunset was the best. It was also nice to be on board with a small group of people that you could talk with like friends - it was if you weren't really on a "tour" Would highly recommend Sail San Diego and ask for Art!

This was our 2nd year taking the 3 hour afternoon sail. We thoroughly enjoyed Captain Mike and all the information he shared about the San Diego area. We plan to include a sailing event again next year during our trip. This next time, the sunset cruise.

“A Sailing Adventure-- no hard work...just relaxation!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013

My husband and I recently took a sailing adventure with Sail San Diego. What a wonderful experience it was! This tour takes only a small group of people (around 6), so it is quite comfortable aboard the boat. Our "captain" was Mike Roll. What a gem! He shared history and personal experiences. He answered questions and made us feel as if we were a group of "friends" he was entertaining for the 3 hour sailing adventure. If you want to sit back and relax, you can. If you want to help out, you can. Snacks and beverages and other necessities are provided. The sail takes you out the bay, past Point Loma, and into the waters of the Pacific. I can't describe how soothing the experience is. I highly recommend this tour...would have taken it more than once, if we had been there longer! Hats off to Captain Mike--- he was amazing! I am so glad I found this tour!

“A lovely sunset sail”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

Having vacationed in San Diego various times, we wanted something new and special to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. The 3-hour sunset sail with Captain Greg off the San Diego coast was indeed perfect for our special occasion. He was very knowledgeable, but funny, too. Loved his little quotes, such as "The difference between an ordeal and adventure is attitude". It was great that the company limits the number of participants to six. It keeps the atmosphere very relaxed and intimate. There were plenty of refreshments offered - wine, beer, soft drinks and snacks.
