“Best tour ever!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013

I took the "Love Train" tour and it was fantastic. The wine and food were delicious and our guide Darren was awesome at making the whole experience very entertaining. It is a great date idea as my GF absolutely loved it, and at the end of the night we both got pretty buzzed (my girl got hammered). I will definitely do it again.

“San Diego Bus Wine Tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013

We had a wonderful time on this San Diego Wine Tour. Got to see some great places, meet some nice people, and share an awesome winery tour. We enjoyed the trip very much and the hosts in each location were terrific!

“Well done tour of LaJolla with really good food pairings with wine.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013 via mobile

Nice walk to four different restaurants with good food. Started at a family Italian bistro with exception food and OK wines. The guide was knowledgable and engaging. A really nice way to get familiar with La Jolla. Walking between the venues gave the guide an opportunity to point out important buildings and share some of the history while at the same time allowing for some digestion and cleaning of the palate for the next stop.

“Pleasant trip,”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013

Darren was our guide and he did a great job of making it educational and keeping the atmosphere light and party like at the same time. We had lunch at an Italian place in Carlsbad. 3 delicious but tiny courses each paired with a wine sample. 5 more samples at another winery and back on the train. The second stop had the best winery, neat building and too many samples to count. After that it was back on the train to Old towne. It was sunset, we were drinking Champagne and could see the ocean from the train, fun! Cute winery in Old Towne, and at that point, we decided we has had so many samples it would be wise not to drink all that we could have at the final Winery. Overall a fun fun day! My only advice would be to bring snacks since "lunch" was so light.

“Worth every penny, best thing we did while in San Diego”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013

We opted to do the wine train tour on our first free day in San Diego and boy are we glad we did, it was really a great time. Our tour guide was so nice and informative. We took an easy train ride from Santa Fe Depot near downtown where we were staying and met her in Carlsbad. From there we walked to an Italian restaurant where we tasted a few different wines and had a light lunch. After that we walked to Witch Creek Winery which was on the walk back to the train. It was a cool little stop and we enjoyed the wines, even bought a bottle. We hopped back on the train for about 15 minutes and got off at the next stop which was Solana Beach. Walked about 15-20 minutes into a cute little district and went to Carruth Winery. The wine was good and it was a cute little spot. We bought a bottle of wine there as well. After that we took the train to Old Town, last stop. We went to La Hacienda (i think?) and had a choice of wine or beer tasting. At that point we were in the mood for the beer tasting and did that. As the day goes on you become friends with the people on the tour and don't even want to park from them. We had a fun group and had a GREAT time. I would recommend it to anyone and will absolutely do this again when we are in San Diego next time.
