“Worth the walk after dinner”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2014

We ate at a restaurant just a block off of the gaslamp and we walked down there after dinner. It was a interesting area to walk through and it is full of shops, restaurants, and bars. I think it would be very interesting to sit in one of the outside seating areas of one of the restaurants and people watch while you enjoy dinner or drinks. If you are in town it is worth walking down at least once.

“Fun times at Gaslamp”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2014

This is the perfect place for couples and friends to explore. So many restaurants, bars, pubs, and shops to see. You are close to Horton's plaza as well to continue your shopping spree. You can get on the greenline trolley to bypass parking in this area. You can walk around Gaslamp and not have to worry about having a drink and catching the trolley back to your hotel if you book a hotel close to the greenline.

“disappointing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2014

We've been to San Diego many times and always make a trip to the Gaslamp Quarter. We were very surprised at how many restaurants were closed down. There isn't much shopping so once the restaurants start closing, there's not much else to do there.

“Historic area of San Diego with nice shops and restaurants”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2014

I enjoyed visiting this historic district of San Diego. The pace was slow, many signs to read about the history of the area and nice restaurants with indoor and outdoor seating. There was street and garage parking available. As a disabled tourist who uses a small electric scooter, I was able to find handicap parking on the street and was able to enter most of the shops and restaurants in the area.
