Fantastic hotel dispite being right next to the airport. Central to attractions on the Bay and in town. I love it was in walking distance to subway and Starbucks :) beds were very comfortable and they layout of the room was nice. Wasn't just a bed sink and shower, it opened to a bed then a sitting area with a couch and flat screen. Keurig coffe maker with k cups on the table. Huge closet and small, but efficient bathroom.

Price and location are high points of this facility. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The wifi cost $7.95 a day. Breakfasr is included and is solid. The rooks and furnishings are getting a little dated. The room I was in had a fridge and microwave.

Nice hotel in a great location. Close to downtown and right on base with the commissary and exchange. Great price too! The front desk staff are helpfull with directing you to different venues for shopping/eating or anything else you'd like.

Can't say enough positive things about this place!
This is the first lodge we have stayed at that actually had a decent breakfast: hard boiled eggs, cereal, muffins, pastries, milk, juice, yogurt, coffee, & tea!! Really enjoyed that...its nothing fancy but can make a meal and there were protein options!

The location cannot be beat. I timed it from the zoo and it was 7 minutes on the freeway from parking lot to parking lot! Super easy to find, traffic is a breeze and located immediately inside the gate. No lines at the gate since it is not the "working" part of the base, just MWR stuff. Cheap travel tickets at the exchange less than a block away. Gas station right by building.

Room was nice..flat screen tv, refrig, microwave...all the necessities. Basic furniture and clean. Super bargain at $65 a night.

The main positive..AWESOME AIR CONDITIONING which was MUCH needed this week!!

BTW, this is not the lodge at Coronado, North Island base. We did visit that one and it IS right on the beach with a nice pool. The rates were a lot higher though and it was full. That one would be isolated whereas this one is in the center of activity. McDonalds and a few other fast food places are right outside the gate if you don't want to go to the food court by the BX. It has Rubios, IHOP and 5 guys plus others.

Great location right by downtown SD. The MTS trolly station right in front of the hotel allowing you to have SD at your disposal if you choose not to drive. The staff is great!!!!! You have a kitchenette in your room as well as complimentary breakfast in the morning. My family love to stay her at the the lodge on north island even more.

My family and I relocated to San Diego and stayed here for a week. It was a pretty nice hotel for the price we paid. The check in was a breeze and the workers were really nice and willing to help.
