“Tasty food and interesting wines but light on the entree portion sizes”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013

Recently went here for restaurant week preview--3 course tasting menu ($20) with wines ($15)was $35 per person or $90 out the door for a party of 2 with tax and tip (non-negotiable 20%?). Food preparation and wines were excellent. So was the service. I find this especially reassuring since the owners were out of the country at the time. Cudos to the servers and manager!! We tried the peach salad and seafood sausage as starters. The salad was excellent but rather small and needed more peaches. The sausage with potato salad was very tasty and a reasonable size. We both had the sea bass entree--excellently prepared and fresh with very good sides--about half the size of a normal entree. Excellent pot du creme and vanilla ice cream desserts. Wines were very good throughout and matched courses nicely.

“This fabulous restaurant won't be a secret for long”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013

Wonderful first time experience. Unique in that there is a standard 3 course pre-fixe menu, giving you three choices in each category. The food is amazing and at such a reasonable cost. The menu changes regularly according to their website so can't wait to go back. We included the wine pairing with each course which is only $15 and generous pours. The pairings were spot on.

“Best Value in Town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

We've brought people here several times and their first question is "how did you find this place?" Although it's right next door to El Indio, it's in a separate building and upstairs so it's not that easy to find. The food is great, not a lot of it, which is fine with us, but a great tasting menu plus wine pairing if you choose. Wonderful value for the quality of the food. Parking a problem but they now have valet.

“Amazing experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2013

This place must be San Diego's best kept secret, otherwise the line would be out the door. The quality of the food and service could not be faulted. The food and accompanying wine option must be your choice - as an itinerant Aussie this was my pick of restraunts during my stay.

“Fabulous place to share wine and food with friends”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2013

This is a great place. Been coming here for wine pairing dinners for over three years and have never had a bad experience. We Take every opportunity to bring out friends here when we can. Tonight is a six course meal featuring herb roasted leg of lamb, charged skirt steak and fennel ice cream. With winds from Argentina.
