“Not Tex-Mex- Schmohawks!!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2013

This is Cali Mex food. good flavor, large portions and cheap prices compared to the rip off places on 5th and surrounding area. One of the better breakfast burros we've had, almost as good as Tucson's, almost. Good beans, standard rice. Good large chunks of chix, shredded beef, eat in or take it to go. Why pay $10.00 for pancakes at RW or Cafe 222 when you can get protein at Lolita's for $3.85. BTW, Portland has no decent Mexican food places!

“Quality & Price Can't Be Beat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013

Food selection is amazing, and prices are very, very reasonable.

If you go right before a Padres game, expect huge lines (nobody likes the food/drink prices at Petco Park). The bottled beer is a little overpriced here, but still waaaaay under what the ballpark charges.

We love the potato rolled tacos, the bean and rice burritos, the spicy carrots & peppers.

Service is very fast, even when they are really crowded. Everyone we've encountered who works there is polite, efficient, friendly.

Really, you can't say much more about a place. If you live in East Village, put this on your REGULARS LIST of places to go for a bite. If you live elsewhere, maybe not worth a special drive (because parking is difficult). If you come to the ballpark, be sure to stop here before or after the game for something to eat. The other night, there was a guy who came OUT of the ballpark just to come here for his food!!! Smart guy.

“Great Fish Tacos!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

Stopped by here right before a baseball game. We were in town from NY and wanted to try some local fish tacos. Lolita's tacos were great! The restaurant isn't huge but it's perfect if you just want to grab something quick. They do sell beer which was a plus. Recommend for those in town for not a long time but want to try some local food.

“Best Mexican Food in San Diego”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2013

I grew up in San Diego where authentic Mexican Food is abundant and Lolita's is the best. Their carne asada is perfectly cooked and seasoned - try it in their signature California burrito. Another recommended favorite is their Adobada. It is the best I have tried anywhere with the right amount of flavor and spice.

“Love it every time!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

I love the California burrito, the salsa choices, and the location is directly next to the Petco Park (baseball stadium). I also love the prices! Every time I visit San Diego, I must find Lolita's Taco Shop, and I am so happy now that they have multiple locations.
