Beautifully remodeled in early 2009, the Brigantine is well-known for the signature Clam Chowder, Grilled Swordfish, and Creme Brulee. The Brigantine is a favorite among locals for consistently fresh seafood, succulent steaks and grilled meats. Home to the America's Cup until 1995, Shelter Island is still the yachting center of San Diego. The Brigantine offers glimpses of this busy marina from the outdoor patio and semi-private banquet areas. The Point Loma Brigantine serves dinner 7 nights a week, and lunch Monday-Saturday. “Great food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2012

I had a delicious steak there, and it was a wonderful atmosphere. The wait staff was very polite and helpful, and the prices were reasonable. The whole place was very interesting and fun to be at with the theme of ships etc.

“Fish Tacos”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2012

All the "Brig" restaurants are known for their fish tacos. Everything else I've eaten at this restaurant has also been excellent. Be prepared to pay for parking in the adjoining public parking lot.

Have you ever been to a fundraising dinner? If you have, that is the kind of food to expect. Good service

“Really Great Happy Hour Bar Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

A favorite of locals (I live on Shelter Island) the Bar Food is great- the best fish tacos one can find, and consistently the most friendly, professional staff. All restaurants sholud strive for the Brig's lovely hostesses, waiters, and waitresses!

“Good fish tacos!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2012

We went to Brigantine specifically to try the fish tacos we had heard so much about in San Diego. It was Taco Tuesday, the lounge was packed from about 5pm onwards, and the food was really good - fried fish tacos and the shrimp and crab fondue were both excellent. Service was fast and friendly - our server was chatty and made good menu recommendations.
