“fun for younger”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2013

Good summer camps for the 5-9 range. Nice play area for moms w/ kids under 5. Some of the displays are a bit too advanced for the 6 and under crowd but they like to mess with stuff anyway

“Interesting for all ages”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013

Great place in Balboa Park for all ages. We especially enjoy the IMAX movies there - when it's hot it's a perfect place to relax AND learn something. Arrive early because the movie lines can get long and the best seats in the upper area of the dome go fast.

“A super fun place for kids to explore!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013

For LOCALS and Military the first Tuesday of the month this museum is free! It's a great place to take children because there are so many hands on activities and you're learning! It's all science! When I was there with my 2 year old, they had a special place sealed off just for smaller kids. You are also in Bal Boa park which is a plus in itself. There is also a dome Imax theatre which shows educational films. This is a great place

“Science”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013

I really enjoyed getting out. I visited more than 10 years ago and took my son. We had a blast. Thank you for the offer. When we attended we went under a free Tuesday for military. Thank you much for the great experience.

“Fun, hands-on experience for kids”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

This was my first visit to the RHF Science Center, and I wasn't sure what to expect.

I was quite pleased to see all the interactive exhibits for the kids who really seemed to enjoy playing with them. And there seemed to be enough variety to engage kids of different ages / learning levels.

It would be a good diversion for the kids from other sight-seeing activities.

In terms of value, I think the museum may be at the high end of the pricing for the content. (I went as a San Diego County resident on Residents' Free Tuesdays.)
