If you like staying at B&Bs for their charm and homey feeling, you will want to think twice before booking a room at Kasa Korbett. While the Innkeeper, Bob, was helpful when we had questions about San Diego, the Inn itself leaves much to be desired. Our room was reasonably clean, but it was also worn and outdated.
We have stayed at many B&Bs and there is always a distinction between common areas for guests, and private areas for the owner. Not so at Kasa Korbett. All of the common spaces were also the owner's living spaces and we often felt like we were intuding.
Breakfast was mediocre at best, and there were often dirty dishes in the sink from the owner's dinner the night before.
The location of the house is convenient to some restaurants, but the center of Hillcrest is about a ten minute walk away.
Our feeling is that the reality of Kasa Korbett does not live up to the impression given on its website. We will stay elsewhere in future trips to San Diego.
