“Convenience”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2013 via mobile

Been staying here for about 10 years, and has been pretty good so far. But the new upgrade to the lobby is ok. Would of liked to see it in the rooms. Also, the girl at the front desk (Veronica), very rude, sarcastic and shouldn't be in the front. She was also the same with others in our group and they were ready to go stay at another hotel. Other than that the hotel is great.

Nice hilton hotel. Needs some more maintenance throughout the hotel. It is a bit difficult to get in and out of the hotel because of busy highway next to it but once you figure it out its ok. They are in the process of upgrading the lobby so thats a good start. The front desk was very nice and courteous

I was truly impressed with the level of professionalism, attention and respect that Cynthia Lucero (Director Of guest services) gave us.We truly felt comfortable staying comfortable by her hospitality. The place is clean and has great complementary buffet breakfast and Yes there is some remodeling going on, but it didn't affect us in any way. I give it a two thumbs up.

The hotel itself was refreshing. Despite the construction being done on the lower level and in the lobby, the hotel was very well-kept. The rooms were spotless, the linens were fresh (even the comforter), the patio was clean, and the walls/drawers/bathroom floor/sink area were all spotless. The fridge actually got cold and kept our food fresh for a whole week (not something I usually experience), and it was large enough to keep lots of food and drinks. There was a microwave in the room, plenty of table and seating space, a huge bathroom and a patio area. The hotel staff were helpful and pleasant, and, as usual, the Hampton Inn breakfast was delicious.

The only downside is the location. I am glad there was a Hampton Inn in this area, since it was an area I needed to be in and I surely would not want to stay at the hotels attached to the nearby strip clubs, but the Inn could maybe up its game by providing a shuttle service (not just to the airport) to ensure guests feel safe walking to the nearby stores, bus station, historical spots, and convention center. There is a lot within walking distance (which is wonderful), but don't walk alone around here at night.

Room Tip: Make sure you ask for a room on the second floor if you are traveling alone.

One of the worst Hampton Inns I have ever stayed in. Location, noise and appearance. I understand during my stay they had some remodeling going on but the Hotel could of down a better job cosmetically making it more pleasant. I wouldn't recommend this Hotel because mostly of its location if your traveling with family members.

Complimentary airport transportation, complimentary hot breakfast, complimentary internet. and very pleasant and efficient service. What more could one want? Oh yes, the duvet covers on the bed are changed with each new guest. No more stained and germ-laden bedspreads. And the beds were very comfortable.

I stayed 3 nights at this hotel, its alitte hard to find but after you find it there should be no problem. Housekeeping is great and I had breakfast there twice and it was very good. I had a couple of problems, but the manager Victor fixed everything. The manager Victor is great and helpful and after talking with him I can tell me has pride in his hotel and staff. The staff were all great. I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone coming to San Diego. It is very central to the city and the traffic is not as bad as staying downtown or near Sea World. You can get to anywhere of intrest in minutes.
