I was planning a one week vacation to San Diego for me and my husband, but did not want to spend to much on the hotel, as our buget was limited. I did some research and I was able to find a great rate for this hotel, but only for the first three nights, after that it would be almost double. So we decided to spend three nights at Humphrey's Half Moon Inn and the other four nights at Hampton Inn Sea World - where I was also able to find a great rate - all through Expedia.
Everything was great at Humphrey's Half Moon Inn and we were actually sad when we left. We got a nice room on the first floor, with view to the Marina. There was a small patio where you could enjoy the view and the coffee in the morning. The room was spacious, the bathroom was huge with granite counter tops. And there is also a magnifying mirror ... which was really cool... I haven't seen that in a hotel before.
The hotel has a restaurant (which seemed pretty expensive, but they give you 25% off coupons when you check-in) and a very nice bar. What was great about the bar was that they have happy hour every day from 5 to 7. We ate there once and it was $5.50 for a burger and fries, and $2 a beer. Pretty good deal. And they also have bands playing, I'm not sure how often, but that was cool.
Everything about this hotel says vacation and relaxation.
