We had a great time at the Humphrey's Half Moon Inn. Upon arrival we were given the key to a dirty room that was not in a good location-it went rapidly better from there. We asked for a nicer room so we got a garden view room on the second floor overlooking the pool and palm trees. The grounds were so lush and tropical, the pool was clean, hot tub was hot and the pool bar was great! The staff was nice and the views of all the boats was awesome. I really like boats so this was a real treat. Shelter Island was great with a walking path and views of the San Diego Skyline. The hotel was a little older but well kept and the grounds are unsurpassed and our room had a vaulted ceiling and granite countertops in the bathroom. Concerts did happen every night but we really loved it, but we're young and enjoy that kind of stuff. Book it at sandiego as I paid $185 a night and noticed lots of other websites at $250 plus. I wouldn't have paid any more than $185-$200 for this hotel, though. It is also centrally located and close to Sea World (WAY OVERCROWDED), San Diego Zoo (GREAT-MUST SEE!), Coronado Island (great day trip) and much more!
