“Worth the trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2013

A great view and interesting history. A great place for photos. It was about a 20 minute drive from our hotel, but I'm sure they have tours that go there if you don't drive in.

“Scenic Treasure for San Diegans”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2013

Beautiful views of San Diego City and surrounding areas in this very popular National Park. Very informative historic displays and helpful docents. Only charge for parking and well worth it!

“Awesome!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2013

We loved it!! Great lighthouse, hiking around. This was our favorite day in San Diego. Allow 1-2 hours! The tidepools are the best part and most beautiful.

“Really enjoyed this park”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2013 via mobile

I'm a park hopper who loves to get my passport book stamped so I have been to lots of the smaller, less well known national parks and the greatest thing about them is that I always learn something that I didn't know. I happened on Cabrillo in the final days of a journey that started in Seattle and went north first so we had seen a lot of sites on the way south but I still found Cabrillo delightful and I learned quite a bit about the beginnings of our west coast. So thoroughly enjoyed our time here and was reminded of the cost of our freedom as we drove through the national cemetery on the way.

“Interesting for adults and older kids”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2013

This is an interesting site to visit for adults and older kids. Shows some of the history of the area and provides a nice view of the city from up above on Point Loma. Younger kids might be interested in viewing the old lighthouse in the tide pools, if you time your visit right.
