Owner description: Located on the surf and sand of Mission Beach, Belmont Park is San Diego's only beachfront amusement center! From the historic Giant Dipper roller coaster and The Plunge swimming pool to the famous simulated surf machines and three dynamic ocean view restaurants, Belmont Park is the quintessential Southern California beach experience. Take a stroll through the park and grab a giant ice cream cone then check out all the action on FlowBarrel. Sit down for a delicious bite to eat on the rooftop of Cannonball after a fun-filled day of laser tag, arcade games, and rides. No matter your age, the park has something everyone in the family can enjoy. However you choose spend your day, Belmont Park is the best way to play!

“On a Date”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013

My current Love and I decided to spend an evening out and it was the first time I visited this park, especially at night. I really enjoyed myself. This is a great place for a date, family night out, girls night out, or just to have somewhere to go. Keep up the great work.

“I wouldn't go out of my way to visit. Personally WAY better things to do in San Diego.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

Maybe it was a bad time of year (January) to visit as some of the attractions didn't seem to be open on a Saturday but even if they were there isn't a lot here.

This was a quick walk from the hotel, had I made a special trip to come here I would have been highly disappointed. Thankfully it was free to get in but pretty boring.

At least the rides seemed to last long. The 8 year old that was with me was entertained, but VERY limited ride selection for her.

“Roller coaster was the best”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012

Small attraction but great for one or two rides. Reasonably priced for the roller coaster. Loved the coaster, it was great!

“The kids had fun”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2012

I think it was way too small of a park but the kids still had a great time. Being November there wasn't any lines so the girls went on rides over and over. They really liked the Giant Dipper roller coaster. Very cool that it's one of the old wooden coasters. Employees of the park are only into each other, not so much the clients. The park is surrounded by some really good souvenier and T-shirt shops though and is located right next to the beach.

“Fun and Sun”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2012

As a native San Diegan I remember this roller coaster scaring the hell out of me. Now as an adult, it still scares the hell out of me. This one of the more inexpensive family activities in San Diego. Plenty of parking, many food establishments and Mission Bay on one side, Mission Beach on the other. Mission Beach is the spot where the "Over The Game" was developed by OMBAC. This amusement park has gone through many facelifts since my childhood and it still brings smiles to children.
