“Great atmosphere”

A wonderful place for all ages. Walking is a must to enjoy the animal and flora, just a treat to visit and well worth the money.

“Barely Fit Highlights In a Day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2012

There is so much to explore at the zoo. We took advantage of the guided bus tour and express bus towards the end after we had hiked through most of the zoo. Certain animals would not be active or be seen during the day if they are nocturnal. So if you want to see any animal in the cat family, you would need to stick around when the sun goes down. Be sure to check out the nighttime zoo entertainment, which happen to have China Celebration when we went.

“It's world famous for a reason!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2012 via mobile

The Animals at San Diego zoo were incredible. I took several pictures of animals very up close. The enclosures were easy to see the animals. The employees were very nice, and it was a really nice outing all around. Would highly recommend this of heading to San Diego.

“Great zoo!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2012

Definitely need a whole day out! The over head skyride was great! The drinks etc was quite pricey but completely expected this so wasn’t a problem! We purchased our tickets at the gates on the day. Did not realise how big the zoo was until we got half way around and realised we were running out of time! Loved the Polar bears and the pandas as something I had never seen before! Lots of buses etc available but we just used the skytram. Its definitely the best zoo that I have visited!

“Lots to see.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2012

Ton of stuff to see, never did walk the whole zoo. Take the bus tour to see most areas first then walk around. Note that some exhibits close before the zoo and they don't tell you. My wife missed the hummingbird exhibit because it closed at 6:30pm and the map guide doesn't tell you.
