“Great Day Out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2012

Very large zoo with lots of interesting species. Parking free and entrance price fair. Zoo is nicely set with plenty of trees etc making it a pleasant walk around. Giant Panda superb but get to see them early before the crowds build. Some cages a little small fior the big cats but overall the nimals are well presented and seem happy and well looked after. This is a good day out but therre is plenty of walking

Wonderful, beautiful Zoo! Easy to see Animals in their native habitat. Must be prepared to walk up and down or take the buss.

“Fantastic Day!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2012

We were deciding between the Zoo and Sea World, and we are glad we chose the Zoo! Not only were the tickets a lot cheaper, but we were able to pack in our own food and drinks, which cut down on the cost a lot! Plus, no charge to park! We got there at opening and spent the first half of the day there in great weather, left for lunch, and then went back in the evening. They have restaurants (and beer) in the park if you don't want to leave. We didn't even have kids with us, but the kids around us were loving it. Being ten feet from a panda, or just a couple inches of glass away from a polar bear are awe-inspiring moments. We felt like kids again taking pictures in all the attractions. The Zoo does a great job of getting you up close and personal with all the animals. We ended up becoming members after this!

I can't speak to Sea World, as I haven't been in years, but I HIGHLY recommend a day at the Zoo. It will take at least an entire day, and be relatively inexpensive compared to most other theme parks/family attractions.

“Beautiful zoo”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2012

This was my first time there, and it is a beautiful zoo. It was quite crowded, and we had a big group - so we chose to do the double decker bus tour (sat on the top) and that helped us see a ton without havingt o walk all over. We also really enjoyed the Chinese acrobat show.
