“A oasis city within the city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2014

This is a must-see when in San Diego. Basically you could spend all day ambling around the gardens and buildings, browsing through the shops or even going to the zoo. The park as such is free and is very close to the downtown area. The trees and flowers are magnificent, a true oasis within the city, or a small city, somewhat frozen in time, within the city.

“Not to be missed..”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2014

You have all important attractions tucked into this park, including the famous Zoo. A paradise for casual walkers. Entry to the park is free and has plenty of restrooms and drinking water facilities. There is a also an arrangement for ferrying the visitors to the parking lot by a Tram. Many museums are also there, and I visited an anthropology museum (Museum of Man). It was outrageously priced at 20 USD.
Worth a visit while you are in San Diego.
Ramesh.

“American Spain”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2014

To park conduct good roads. In park convenient free parking. Architecture of buildings the Spanish. Two big monumental Catholic churches. One is turned into the anthropology museum, rather informativy. The second in a concert hall. There is a museum in which rather big collection of masters of the Italian revival is collected. The small town is devoted to the different people. Each people have the lodge. The Russian lodge isn't present. Magnificent museum of aircraft and astronautics. Big expositions, are the real planes and helicopters. The big section is devoted to World War II. About participation of the Russian aircraft in this war there is no mention. Very big zoo. On its survey at least two days are required. Everywhere everything is well planned. Americans very much care of convenience of accommodation. It is pleasant.

“So much to do!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2014

I lived in San Diego for many years and only lived about 5 minutes from the park. You could easily spend a week in the different museums as well as visiting the greenhouse...seeing a play...visiting the Zoo. It's very close to downtown if you still have time to do something else! Don't miss it!
