This Comfort Suites is the newest hotel (about 18 months old) in the Topeka area. The hotel is very clean and nicely decorated. The front desk staff was very efficient, friendly and helpful. We accidentally booked the wrong week and, after we discovered our error, the discounted rate that we booked was no longer available. A call to the front desk clerk explaining our mistake, was quickly addressed by the clerk who gave us the original discounted rate.
Our room with a king size bed was fairly large. The bed was very comfortable. Included in the room was a large flat screen TV, refrigerator, microwave, sofa, chair and work station with many outlets.
The complimentary breakfast was typical for restaurants in this class (i.e., coffee, juice, cereal, waffles, prepackaged pastry, etc.). The lobby had complimentary lemonade, pretzels and mints available at all times.
The hotel was busy during our visit and parking at the front of the hotel filled up quickly in the evening to the point where some guests parked in the grass. Whether or not the back parking lot was filled at that time is unknown to me.
I would recommend staying at this hotel. AAA or senior rates on the chain's website offer reasonable choices that are highly competitive with other hotels in the area.
