“Older hotel with great service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2012

Rooms were comfortable and pleasant. Staff bent over backwards to assist our team.
Staff and management genuinely concerned about travellers.
Location is great, lots within walking distance.
You can't go wrong staying here.

“Clean and friendly”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2012 via mobile

The Hampton Inn was exactly like it's prior reviews. It was very clean and the staff was friendly. The rooms were nice sized and the breakfast was more than enough. There was some highway noise but if you're from a city, you won 't notice a thing. We'll stay here again.

“Great Stay in Topeka”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2012

I stopped at this Hampton Inn to stop for the night on a trip from Amarillo to St.Louis. My room was clean and was designed like other, more modern Hampton Inns, a design I really like for its large bathroom and shower. My room had a microwave and fridge, I don't know if this is standard for the property and is always a nice touch. The room had a flat panel and, this is something I cannot overstate my love for, about 50 television channels including almost all of them in HD! Nothing frustrates me more than a hotel that has a very limited selection of channels so this was a genuine treat. This hotel also had great Wi-Fi! Granted that it was a Saturday night so there was probably fewer business travelers in the hotel hogging the bandwidth, but it was still nice. There are plenty of restaurants in the area with a Cracker Barrel in walking distance. This is my new hotel of choice when I'm in Topeka!

“Convenient, clean place to stop off the interstate or while in Topeka”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2012

This Hampton was relatively new, clean with well appointed lobby and breakfast room, an exercise room and large pool on the ground level, free on-site parking and friendly, helpful employees. The smallish rooms are adequate with a small fridge, microwave and coffee maker which awkwardly was inthe bathroom strorage area. Our room had only a shower and a smallish vanity and there
Was no couch or love seat, only a couple of chairs around the desk.

Breakfast hours were ample, from 6 to 10 am and the staff kept everything replenished and fresh. The bedding was not especially firm and the non down pillows were of poor quality foam particles and provided little support. Since I have an allergy to feather pillows, perhaps those pillows are of better quality. The surrounding area has plenty of restaurants and stores including a Cracker Barrel you can walk to.

Room Tip: Higher floors are quieter. A room with a king bed might be larger and more comfortable.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review for our property. We strive to improve in any way we can and our guest feedback is crucial for our success. We greatly appreciate the warm comments about our breakfast, we look for ways to continue to improve in that area and are glad those improvement are not going unnoticed. We are working with our supplier and asking if they have any other types of non down pillows, in hopes of finding a bit firmer pillows. We hope to have them ready for your next visit into Topeka.

Again, thank you for taking the time to write a review!

“Good Stayover Spot in Topeka”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2012

Reasonably convenient location off city freeway ring behind Cracker Barrel. Facilities relatively new and sounds from freeway not heard inside hotel. Check-in was a little bumpy as the night clerk said he could not offer me the same rate as I had online. I was unable to send on the road, and the clerk would not give me the lower price, so I had to stand in lobby and make reservation in front of front desk, which was a little ridiculous. He did honor lower price though. We did get a nice room, very clean and certainly up to customary high Hampton standards. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast also very good and checkout was smooth. I did use pool and spa, which were very nice, except, spa did not go off on its own. I assume this would be fixed. Nonetheless, aside from trying to make online reservations earlier, I would still return.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review for our property. We strive to improve in any way we can and our guest feedback is crucial for our success. I understand the inconvenience of having to book reservation online to receive the online promotion rates but unfortunately there is no way around this. We are glad to read that the remainder of your stay was excellent and I have advised our head engineer of the spa concern. He will see what he can do and have it functioning correctly for your next visit in Topeka!

Thank you
