Topeka has many chain restaurants and nicer local places are not as common but the Row House would be a hit in any city but in Topeka its easily the best in town. It is in a historic row house downtown that was owned at one time by one of the state's first governors. You can order off the menu but I recommend the tasting menu which gives a small sampling of the weeks menu. It is $35/person which is high for Topeka though not in Houston where I live by any means. The food quality you get for it makes it a good value at that price though. They have a small bar downxstairs and have nice wine pairings to recomend. Chef Greg also will stop and visit with diners from time to time. They even grow some ingredients in a small garden in back. The service is impecable and the food is superb. Overall Row House is a cant miss option for fine dining at a reasonable price in Topeka.
