The rating for this property was mainly for the location which couldn't be faulted - it was in easy reach of the waterfront, aquarium, Quincy Market and all the top attractions.
Positives: location, huge comfy bed and large room ( atrium view), fridge, safe, adjustable lighting, nice bathroom, free Wi-Fi, very modern finishes everywhere, very clean, laid back atmosphere.
Negatives: only 12 inches of hanging room for clothes, no daylight or privacy due to atrium view, noisy when people congregated outside lift, no coffee maker, light on corridors were on all night and shone through gaps in blind meaning the room was never dark enough to sleep, fridge was very noisy so had to sleep with earplugs in, some reception staff spent more time chatting to each other rather than being interested in guests, coffee shop downstairs closed at 3pm.
Although we did enjoy our trip the lack of daylight overall in the hotel meant we tried to spend as little time there as possible. We paid over £200 a night booking through a hotel site but the Americans we spoke to seemed to pay a lot less so we should have booked through the hotel direct.
Very obviously designed by a man- lots of gadgetry such as music system, DVD player and 6 sets of adjustable lights....but the lights around bathroom mirror pointed up over making it difficult to see properly to apply make up - also the lack of hanging space for clothes was difficult when 2 people were staying for a week.
