“Our go-to Boston hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2014

We just returned from another, of many, stays at XV Beacon. As usual, we have nothing but good things to say. The room was clean, comfortable, and luxurious. The rainhead shower is THE best shower we have had, anywhere. The bed is super comfy. The staff are wonderful, service is prompt, location cannot be beat. The hotel classifies room by size/location, so if you want a larger space or a room with a view, make sure to book a higher level room. We were in a corner studio, with a view of Boston Common, but many rooms do not have a nice view due to the city center location. Our room service late night and Sunday Brunch at Mooo were both excellent. The hotel is definitely geared more towards couples and business travelers - unfortunately there is no pool so when we are in town with the kids we (unfortunately) stay elsewhere. Great place to relax, unwind, and celebrate.

I have stayed at this wonderful hotel many times in the past though for the first time last week I was able to enjoy this place with my wife. From the start of walking up to the hotel there is always someone at the door to help you in anyway or take you in one of their plush Lexus vehicles. We stayed in the corner room on the third floor which was large and felt like home for us. The décor, comfort and windows were spot on. I realize Boston has so much to offer but it is a must to get the Kobe Beef Dumplings at their restaurant Moo. We will always stay here when we visit Boston and thank you for such a wonderful experience.

We had a very pleasant stay at XV Beacon for a long weekend after spending the week in Maine. We booked the Boston Common Studio/Suite because it offered enough room for our family of four to spread out and had a sofa bed for the kids. We were given a corner room on the ninth floor with a nice view down Beacon St and a glimpse of Boston Common. The room met my wife's standards for cleanliness (the bathroom was especially so) and the bed met mine for being firm yet very comfortable. The housekeeping staff did a great job initally preparing the sofa bed at turn down and straightening up our room twice daily until we left. The concierge staff (Jonathan and Maddie) were very helpful -- suggesting sights and restaurants, obtaining and/or printing tickets and arranging rides in the Lexus house car (what a nice luxury. special thanks to Paul and Carlos for chauffeuring us around and always being a phone call away). Overall I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be near the historic sites and freedom trail.

The position is perfect, near to everything. Rooms are not so large, a standard size, but confortable and the bathroom adequate. The service is as expected at this level. In conclusion a good hotel but not so special and a little too expensive for the content

My daughter and I were very hesitant to try a boutique hotel over a large 5 star hotel. We went ahead with staying at the XV Beacon hotel after reading a lot of the reviews here on Trip Advisor.

We were not disappointed but ended up having a wonderful stay at the XV Beacon Hotel. The staff were very helpful with all our needs and very attentive to us. The hotel itself is well located and the room was excellent. In addition they have a restaurant attached called Moo that had excellent food.

We would highly recommend this Hotel for couples, and small families, and definitely for individuals traveling on business. The only drawback is not having a large lobby area. This wasn't a problem for us however because it was just my 13 year old daughter and I.

It was also a nice bonus to have access to a free driver (nice car) that you can schedule to take you to local spots rather than needing a taxi.

If you want a hotel with a pool and a large lobby etc. this is not the hotel for you. It does however have a small above ground jacuzzi on the roof and a small exercise room for those who would be interested.

We were in Boston site seeing so these things didn't matter to us as we were always out of the Hotel during the day and typically got back late at night.

Our first trip to Boston, stayed here four nights and didn't want to leave. The location is in the heart of everything. The house car is very handy but you can walk to most locations. Local restaurants & the shopping is nearby. The hotel staff and concierges are fantastic! Two thumbs up. We will definitely stay here when we return to Boston! The restaurant, named Mooo, has excellent breakfast & in room service menu. The roof area was very refreshing. You felt like a family member whenever you returned to the hotel. Everyone says hello and wants to help you enjoy your stay! Apples in the hallways was a nice touch.

I must say, from the time you check into the hotel, till you leave, as everyone else states in trip advisor, this should be rated the number 1 hotel in boston.

Such amazing rooms and clean and new.
Lovely and spacious room, i would stay in this hotel if i ever come to boston again.

I really liked the rooms and style and service. A big YES
