“The View! The Staff!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2013

I've stayed in many expensive, high-end hotels and none of them compared to the view, the room, and the friendliness we received at the Hyatt Boston Harbor. We came to Boston for our 24th wedding anniversary. We got an excellent rate at the hotel and had requested a room on an upper floor with a view. We walked in the door, saw the view and I said, "Oh my goodness!!" The view of Boston was breathtaking. We also enjoyed watching the sun set over the city while sipping champagne out on the patio. The room was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. I read some negative comments about the shuttle service. For us, the shuttle drivers was speedy and friendly. Most times, they arrived within 5 minutes of calling the hotel for a pick up. The restaurant and bar staff were helpful, efficient, and fun! What wonderful people! They will treat you right! The hotel is near the airport the airport, so it is not in the heart of everything, but I actually found it to be nice to spend the day in the city and escape back to the hotel. We got a 7 day subway ticket for $18 each and used it frequently. I enjoyed our couple of water taxi rides (the hotel gave us each two tickets) with Captain Burt. He was a salty, old man who directed us to some very nice neighborhood restaurants in the North End. I'd go back to this hotel in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the harbor on an upper floor. You will spend a few dollars more, but...

Stayed here before flying back to the Uk. It was a really pleasant surprise, cheaper than anything else in Boston of reasonable quality. The view across to Boston is great and taking the water taxi across to the city really easy and a great trip. Staff were really friendly and food was average but there isn't a nearby alternative. The only downside was the noise, always an issue with airport hotels with people coming and going at all hours but couldn't believe the inconsiderate group who shouted a conversation up and down the corridor at 4am completely oblivious it seemed to other guests.

Room Tip: As far from the lifts as possible to limit people walking by

Having stayed there in the past, I encouraged my small group of six to book a room after our "color cruise". Nobody was dissapointed. Located at the east side of the harbor, all of north Boston, the finanacial district, and south Boston is viewed from your room or the large outdoor patio area (sunset and "lighting of Boston from the patio is a do not miss). Directly adjacent to a water taxi station yields easy access across the harbor to all sites. Professional staff, great views, free shuttle to Logan airport. Should you travel take you to Boston, we strongly recommend.

Room Tip: Pay for an upgrade to get harbor view as high as possible.

A great Hyatt right on Boston Harbor overlooking the city. The staff were excellent as well. Brian at the front desk was very helpful and remembered our names. The restaurant is good and there is outdoor seating for the bar. Keep in mind there is nothing nearby. It is basically an airport hotel, but you can take a water taxi over to the city easily. We did find the wifi to be VERY slow once 4pm rolled around. There really is no excuse for that. But otherwise, was a very nice stay.

Room Tip: Make sure you choose a harbor view room, even if it costs extra. If you don't, you will be facin...

good stopover hotel with great view of Boston - stunning really - if you get one overlooking the harbour- get one of these its worth it alone. food in restaurant good and value but it lacked organisation. first day whole meal rushed to us in 45 mins, next day 45 mins, manager needs to get it into shape. just to get a starter. staff great though especially Vinnie. hotel rooms nice but some public areas need some care and attention, not so good value unless you get a deal.

Room Tip: get a boston harbour view - fantastic

I have attended many meetings in the last few months at this hotel and it is a great hotel to use.
There is plenty of meeting space for any size meetings and breakouts, and the service is fantastic. The food was super-with a variety of seasonal choices.

The hotel is in a perfect location-right at the airport, but offers great views of downtown Boston. And not only are the views great, but with a water taxi stand located right at the hotel, you get fast access to all of the wonderful places in see and eat at in downtown Boston.

Room Tip: Make sure to request a room on the downtown side of the hotel, otherwise you get a good view of the...

Arrived after a transatlantic flight tired and thirsty, but was instantly revived by the most amazing view (make sure you get a harborside view room).

Check in was fast and efficient. Later on we grabbed tickets from Reception for the water taxi into the city and everything was really easy.

The only criticism was that it took an age to get a drink from the bar and there wasn't really all that much seating inside to relax and unwind.

Breakfast is expensive, but then it always is if it isn't included in the room rate and it is not easy to get an alternative nearby. The shuttle was prompt and dropped us off at the T or later on at the car hire to pick up our car for the onward journey.

Our last night was spent back in the Harborside and it really felt like coming home.

Definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking for something out of town but close to the airport.

Room Tip: Get a high up harborside view
