“Awesome hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2014

Purchased a stay at this hotel through groupon. Due to my husband's job we had to reschedule our stay for the following weekend, super easy just a phone call and no extra charge. Arrived before check in time and was still able to check in without a problem, our room was not ready but we got our keys and were able to leave our luggage and get a start on our day. Location of this hotel was great, our bus tour was a block and a half away, restaurants were all within walking distance. The room was nice and spacious, most importantly clean! The balcony in every room was also a great addition to an already great room. The pool was a nice thing to do in the middle of winter and we were lucky enough to get the entire pool to ourselves. Overall, our stay at this hotel was great and Luz at the front desk was very accommodating even allowing us to leave our luggage after we checked out, making sightseeing the second day that much easier. I would def return to this hotel and recommend it.

Was very fortunate to get a room at this hotel for just over $100. What a gem! The hotel is in the heart of the theater district which makes for an easy walk to any of the theaters. It also very close to Chinatown, which if you like Chinese food, this is the place to be. There are dozens of incredible Chinese restaurants to choose from within a short walks time. I recommend the Dumpling House which is small and can get busy at night, but well worth it. Faneuil hall is only about a 15-20 minute walk away, which isn't bad. The rooms are very well appointed and the beds are incredibly comfortable. This might be our next weekend getaway hotel.

It always tough to be the one who picks the hotel, especially for 12 people and two dogs. But, after reading the reviews I was sure I could not go wrong with a hotel that offers champagne upon check in! It was a perfect fit for all of us. In town for a lovely bridal shower, we arrived around noon Saturday. I had emailed Tim about a possible early check in (after emailing him to ask if our rooms could all be near each other and a thousand other things, poor guy) and luckily he was able to accommodate us. A nice treat was the set up of champagne in one of rooms, with enough beverage and glasses for all comers. Early check in was very helpful as we all changed and freshened up before the shower. The next morning we had a wonderful breakfast in the restaurant- eggs florentine, pancakes, it was all quite tasty and so relaxing. Breakfast for two and coffee was $32 before tip, so pretty reasonable and really worth it. The staff were wonderful; we came and went, did a little table hopping, finished and then hung out with the sleepyheads. We were treated like royalty.
The rooms were lovely, clean and so very quiet which is important to me. They also had a fridge which is great. My husband wanted to take the bath towels home they were so large. Skoah bath products so very fragrant and lush, you will want some- and the rainfall shower head was divine.
When you drive in, the hotel lobby is on the right, but continue on up to the garage and then take the elevator to the lobby from there. It was a tad confusing for us. Parking is $40 or a bit more for valet, but typical for Boston. Because we were off to a shower and had to transport gifts back and forth, the front desk gave one of us an in/out pass for the day which was a huge help.Unfortunately one of use left a wallet in a cab, but the security people at the hotel were only too happy to view video footage from hotel cameras to help us find the exact cab company. They could not have done more in all respects.
We plan to return to this hotel as we love the location and the ambiance. And we love Tim, too.
Best part? I was the hero of the day!

Room Tip: I don't think there are any bad ones

Very modern décor, staff was quite friendly, comfortable pillows (we even bought one), bathtub big enough for soaking with nice Kohler showerhead. No refrigerator in the room but we probably could have requested one. Had room service for dinner from the Rustic Kitchen and the food was excellent (reviewed separately.) There was make-up on a pillowcase from a previous guest – YUCK. View from our room (23rd floor with balcony) was spectacular. Heard a few noises from upstairs but got a good night’s sleep. It is located near Tuft’s Medical facilities. Parking was $40! Would have been nice if it were included, but the price (AAA rate) was quite reasonable, although the city and the State do pile on taxes.

Room Tip: We were on the 23rd floor with a balcony and had a great night view of the city.

My friend and I stayed at the Revere Hotel this past week for two nights, and we had a wonderful stay. I spoke with Justin, Front Office Manager,in advance because I wanted to purchase an amenity to be placed in the room prior to our arrival. Although I contacted him 2 months in advance, everything was set up as requested when we got to the our room. He was very helpful.

We arrived later in the evening and the check-in process was very efficient, yet personable. The lobby was quiet and had a wonderful scent. Our room was on the 20th floor with pretty views of the city. The hotel is modern and I loved the carpet, furniture, and overall design. The best part was the free wifi! Most luxury hotels charge daily for wifi and I was pleased to know I did not have to make that purchase. It was a nice touch, and is great for businesss travelers! Oh and they offer two different scents of shampoo, conditioner, and body gel. What a delight.

The service was excellent. From front office, to housekeeping, to room service, all of the empoyees were ready to assist. I did not eat at the Bistro restaurant or have time to go to the Emerald Lounge, but I did order room service. It was tasty and was delivered earlier than the qouted time, which is always a nice surprise. Also, I called guest services to ask if nail polish remover could be sent to my room and spoke with a man by the name of Irving I believe. He said it would be sent right up, but about 15 minutes later he called to let me know they did not have any more remover in house. He even sent an employee to the corner store to purchase the remover. Now that is impressive!

I would absolutely reccomend the Revere Hotel. You won't regret it!

We travel to Boston frequently--board meetings and kids in college makes this necessary--and we have our usual favorite hotel. But the Revere was recommended to us by a friend, and the rates were unbeatable, so we though we'd give it a try.

The pros first: FANTASTIC location just steps from the theatre district, several excellent restaurants, a couple of T stations, and the Common. We travel with our dog almost everywhere, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming to our furry companion, no small matter. The Revere not only welcomes pets but there isn't even a charge to have one with you, so that is a great benefit. The free Wifi was also appreciated--when are all the other hotels going to get on board with this most basic of services? The private balcony would be a nice touch in good weather, but as it was winter during our stay, it didn't get used this time.

The negatives? The Revere is very urban chic in decor and vibe, but it's almost as if they are trying too hard to be hip. Some strategic upgrades, while appreciated, do not entirely cover the fact that the hotel is old. The insulation is, shall we say, lacking, and the exterior walls (we stayed here in January) were constantly cold with an unlocatable but noticeable draft in the room. The room itself was clean but worn. The beds were basically comfortable but the mattresses don't have a long shelf life remaining. On our check in, there was an extremely loud, extremely rude, extremely profane, and extremely flamboyant guest making a scene in the lobby, and it took too long for the issue to be dealt with. If we had had young children with us it would have been a serious issue.

We would definitely stay here again for the location and the price, but we would expect a little less than we did this time.

Good location for visit to Boston, close to subway (Boylston or Arlington), Boston Common and Copley Square. King room we had was very good, thoughtfully furnished and comfortable bed. Hotel is quite modern. Did not use room service or on site eating as options in abundance in town. Will likely revisit - very satisfied.
