We got a great rate on a package that included aquarium tickets, imax tickets and a wonderful breakfast. My kids loved the historic feel of the hotel (particularly the "gold" elevators) as did I. Yes, the room with two double beds was tiny but no smaller than many of the rooms we've been in while staying in NYC. Since we weren't spending much time in it, it really didn't matter. Everything in the room was clean and relatively new. I can't really find anything to complain about!

Did the on-line check-in so room was ready early and we didn't have to wait in line to check in. Breakfast was much more than I expected...full breakfast buffet with a huge selection. Probably wouldn't have eaten there given the price but since it was included in our room price we did and were quite impressed. Kids were left milk and cookies for the evening and given little bags with some cool toys/treats. I liked these thoughtful touches.

Each staff member we encountered was very friendly and helpful. Central location was a must for us - quick walk to the T. i would absolutely stay there again.

My gf and I stayed at Omni on this Labor Day weekend. Its in great location, walkable to anywhere - Copley Sq, Chinatown, Newbury Street, Beacon Hill etc. Also, the Omni Hotel has great history and pedigree of past quests - practically all US Presidents stayed at Omni at one time or another. Macolm X worked as a busboy and Ho Chi Minh worked in the kitchen. Who knew?? However, the space was very cramped and I am from NYC!! The cleaning ladies were wonderful and smiling always but the staffs at the Reception and Lobby were not too friendly and interactive. They were bit aloof to their guests needs and comfort. Wonderful Lobby space though. You quickly realize that the Hotel and their staff see every moment and inquiry as opportunity to pitch and sell their services and products....even snicker chocolate bars!! There are no FREE Wifi & internet access in the room. We were very disappointed to see that the Parker restaurant has gotten very very low rating from Zagat, so we did not even bother. Very unfortunate since this is where JFK proposed to Jackie O.

My two young daughters and I stayed there for three nights. We got a lovely room on the top floor. Very clean and traditionally pretty. Bathroom was very clean. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, although pricey, but worth the splurge. Concierge service was great. The girls ordered a meal via room service and that was great also. The only problem we saw was that the fitness facilities needed to be cleaned and some things repaired. Front desk check in went smooth and front dest personnel happy to help. Would definately return. Would recommend joining their frequent customer program prior to visit- free perks, etc.

We stayed 2 nights at the Omni in Boston. Location was great... convenient to all. Service was very good as well. Valet parking while convenient, was expensive ($80 for 2 nights).

We stayed in a room with 2 double beds. With 2 teenage daughters, this room was not for us, as there was no room to move around considering we each had a small pice of luggage with us.

I understand this is an "old/historic" hotel, with a convenient location, but maybe they should consider turning some of these smaller crowded rooms into single/king rooms???
