“Good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2013

Rooms are rather small but well appointed and comfortable. I came for business so was out at a conference all day. Otherwise, if I'd been wanting to use the room more it might have felt claustrophobic. Service was very prompt and cordial. I think it is a good value hotel for the level of quality.

Olde world charm, but needs a little TLC. Nothing serious, but looking a little shabby in parts. Friendly staff and a very good restaurant. Rooms are very small, too small to negotiate comfortably in fact. However the location is great, close enough to walk to all of the sights and shopping. Beacon Hill is on the doorstep, the Common really close, North End in easy reach, as is Back Bay.

Room Tip: Look for a larger room, maybe even a suite.

Wonder Hotel to stay at for the downtown experience. Close to Freedom Trail start location. Wonderful people, helpful and excited to help. Food was good for Breakfast at the hotel. Try the local restaurants for dinner

We took a cruise out of Boston to Quebec. We found the Parker House on the internet and saw they had a package that included a tour (Freedom Trail) and breakfast. Staying in Boston is expensive but this eased the pain and the Parker house is a perfect location! We loved the hotel and Boston!

We selected the Parker House due it's history, reputation and location. It was excellent. The staff was wonderful from check-in to check-out. The room was lovely. The restaurant was great, food excellent. and we really enjoyed all the heavy wood detail and the history of the hotel. It was within walking to many great site-seeing places. We would stay there again!

This is a very nice hotel in the middle of downtown Boston. The location is excellent if you are going to be visiting the Boston Commons, Freedom Trail, Faneuil Hall area. The lobby is about as opulent as any i've ever been in, and this extends to the rooms, although they are on the small side. The bed was very clean and comfortable. Overall, this is an excellent hotel. Of course you pay for all of these benefits. The rate, like most downtown hotels, is excessive for the actual service that you get.

As many other reviewers have said, small rooms (for the money) but good location (on the Freedom trail). We had a corner room on the 9th floor, one way looked out across the city the other to an office block (so kept curtains closed). Staff were fine and we got some cakes & bubbly for my birthday (which was nice). Would try another hotel next time we are in town.

Room Tip: Go for as big as you can get
