“Poor standards”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2013

Hi, stayed in this hotel for two nights. Really poor rooms that are extremely cold. Wouldn't fancy stating here when the weather gets really cold. Only 2 lamps over the bed that barely light up the room. Stumble over to find them coming back to room in the evening/night time. One receptionist extremely rude / lazy. Not helpful at all. Can't remember her name. Also Left card on bed to change bed linen (which is requested to change linen) and this was ignored. Blankets just pulled up and tucked in. Really poor house keeping. Rooms is serious need of upgrade. Won't be coming back here again and definitely would not recommend.

We had a nice experience staying at this hotel. The hotel is very well furnished with modern updated rooms. The staff was very cordial and cooperative. The room we stayed in was however small but it was worth it. The services were totally value for money and we had a comfortable stay. We would surely recommend it.

Very small room, with double bed, couldn't get into it from left side. Very tired interior but clean and comfortable. Expensive for the facilities provided, except for free wi-fi. Breakfast was free and quite good. Service at front desk was very poor when first arrived, change of staff later and very pleasant. Breakfast staff also helpful and friendly. Close toBoston Common and easy to reach historical pointsofinterest.

The hotel is in desperate need of renovation and feels downright dingy. It is near the Boston Common but on the wrong side of it in a neighborhood that looks depressed and questionably safe. The rooms and bathrooms are tiny, the walls scratched up, the cheap prints on the walls obviously nailed down, and the included breakfast is miserably poor. At a price of $277/ night after taxes, it is not justifiable. The requested wake-up call never came.

Room Tip: Don't choose this one!

Like everyone the location is terrific, the price reasonable but rooms very small. Had 2 double beds, no closet, no place to store luggage and a brick building outside the window so very little light. We were told double beds in room all looked out at brick wall. This was Boston no need for a view. No real service as strangers passing by helped get the luggage upstairs and back down on checkout.. Felt could use a little customer service review. Place was very clean. Beds firm

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel in room 203. The room was tiny (didn't even have a chair) and we couldn't fit 2 open suitcases in the room. Our stay in Times Square the previous weekend was cheaper and the room was bigger too! The location was not exactly central but they do have free wifi in the room and a complimentary breakfast. I would not stay at this hotel again.

I picked the Milner hotel for its location - close to Boston Common and Downtown and very close to 2 subway stations!
The hotel itself was very clean and staff was friendly and helpful.
The room (I stayed in a single room) was tiny, and the bathroom even tinier. The sink was in the room, toilet and shower in the actual bathroom, but that didn't bother me. I was out all day anyways and the most important thing to me was to have a clean place to sleep at :)

I'd definitely stay at the Milner Hotel again!
