“The Amazing Four Seasons in Boston.....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2014

We had a most wonderful time at a wedding at the Four Seasons in Boston where the setting, food and all the arrangements were the most elegant. As usual, all the staff at the Four Seasons provided the absolutely best service. At check-in they upgraded us to a room overlooking Boston Common so that we could see the snow falling on the park. At check-out the lovely Kendall Rodgers was most helpful. Then we had a mad dash home with the help of the most professional and friendly Ray Hammal. Thank you SO MUCH to you all. We will definitely be returning soon!

Room Tip: Try to get a lovely room overlooking Boston Common...then be sure to take a walk around the park dur...

We stayed at Four Seasons Boston a week ago and had an amazing experience! From the moment we checked in until the time we checked out we couldn't have had a more positive experience. The staff are courteous, attentive and demonstrate a genuine love for their job. This was a weekend we planned for our two young boys (ages 5 & 6). We enjoy staying at higher end hotels, but find that they aren't always geared towards children. That wasn't the case here. We were treated to high end service and accommodations all while the boys received excellent attention from the staff. Upon check-in they were greeted so warmly and every where we went in the hotel they were made to feel special. I can't say enough positive things about this hotel. Great restaurant too!

It's a joy reading your comments about our Boston hotel. I've shared your kind words with our entire team. I'm delighted to know that you took advantage of all of our family friendly offerings. I've stayed here numerous times over the years (decades), and it is constantly the best hotel in Boston. The location is perfect, the rooms are beautiful and incredibly comfortable, but best of all, the staff are the best in the business. Everyone is friendly, professional, and make you feel like a welcome and valued guest. They make you feel like this is your home away from home.

To anyone debating where to stay in Boston, take it from me, stay here.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the Public Garden, which is the most beautiful spot in all of Boston.

Love the Four Seasons Boston! The service is wonderful and the staff does a great job. We have been coming to boston for short stays every year, to enjoy a celtics game or check out the blue man group. I will definitely come back year after year... The Bristol Lounge is way overpriced from cocktails to hot chocolate. My wife and I had two cocktails each, with a couple of appetizers and the bill was $169.00 with tip. It was a 200% markup from most palces in the area.. Should have gone to Union Oyster House.

Room Tip: call ahead and ask for an upgrade

The best part about staying at the Four Seasons in Boston is the staff. Consistently friendly, helpful, professional and thoughtful. Accommodations, food and service are always top-notch and the location in Boston is ideal. I love escaping here with family and friends!

The service level that we received from everyone at the hotel was phenomenal and at every encounter, we received a genuine greeting and offer of assistance. The moment we pulled up to the valet there were two attendants who immediately greeted us and assisted with our luggage and car, this made for a very good first impression and was a prelude to the overall level of service we would receive. The check-in process with Kendall was fast and pleasant, she was very welcoming and greeted my son happy birthday and offered him a gift from the toy wagon. We had a garden suite, which was very comfortable, luxurious, and the view was spectacular even in the winter. Shortly after entering the room, the doorbell rang with room service providing a special birthday amenity along with a hand written note from Bill Taylor, the hotel general manager. Each of our children’s names were written on the shower wall and there was a special body wash/lotion/shampoo/conditioner set for children in the bathroom along with the L’Occitane products. The other children’s amenities were child size bathrobes, slippers, and special welcome amenities. We had room service for lunch, it was brought up promptly well in advance of the estimated time and the food was delicious. We were able to use the hotel car service for dinner and the driver was very friendly and knowledgeable. Upon returning to our room, the turn down service was already completed as we had requested before leaving for dinner and the housekeeping service was exceptional during the entirety of our stay. Friday and Saturday evening our children went to the top secret ice cream club on the fifth floor in the meeting area where they were able to have their picture taken using a polaroid camera in front of a Four Seasons background with a variety of accessories and choose from a number of ice cream flavors and toppings accompanied by a choice of beverages. In the morning, we ordered breakfast through room service and again the order was brought sooner than expected. After returning from a morning meeting, I asked the valet about where I could go for a car wash and he provided a name and directions along with a paper containing the same information. However, as I was walking to the elevator, another valet asked if I would like to have my car washed at the hotel. This was a service that I did not know was offered and I greatly appreciated the convenience. I was trying to locate a specific gift that I had purchased before from a store near Long Wharf, but it was not available and the concierge, I believe his name was David, was very helpful with finding a store in Beacon Hill that had the exact same item and he provided a stroller along with DVDs to use in the room upon our return. We were also able take part in the cookie making class, which was fun for our children, and the cookies were delivered to the room shortly after the class was done. For dinner we decided to go to the Bristol Lounge, however we did not make reservations in advance and after calling the restaurant we found out that they did not have any availability until late in the evening, but a few minutes after speaking with the hostess we received a call back and they informed us that they could accommodate us at the time we had requested at a sofa table. I was hoping for a table by a window, but the sofa table proved to be a better option especially since we had a young child with us. Even though the restaurant was very busy, the service we received was excellent and the food especially the filet was outstanding, the best steak I have had in a long time. In previous visits to Boston we have stayed at the Ritz Carlton, Fairmont Battery Wharf, Intercontinental, and the Mandarin Oriental, but what drew us to the Four Seasons was the prominent location and proximity to the Public Garden and Beacon Hill, but even more so what sets this hotel apart from all of the other accommodation options in the area is the service. The food is consistently good with room service and the Bristol Lounge, we had high expectations for this visit and our stay was better than we had envisioned, well exceeding all of our expectations. The overall level of service at the hotel that we experienced was consistently excellent. We have had the opportunity to stay at Four Seasons hotels in other cities recently and the service level was impeccable at each location. We had been staying nearly exclusively at Ritz Carlton hotels whenever we travel, however we have found the value of our Four Seasons stays to be exceptional even with the absence of a club level lounge. We plan to travel to Boston several times this year and will be staying at the Four Seasons Hotel Boston each time.
