“Expectations Exceeded!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2013 via mobile

A last minute change of plans (from a disappointing venue) brought us to the Four Seasons in Boston and we could not have been more pleased. An offhand comment to the bellman about wanting a room with a bath -- instead of the supersized shower in the first room we were shown -- led the staff unprompted to offer a switch. At every point of interaction with waiters, bartenders, and valet staff, we were met with smiles and helpful suggestions without being annoyingly intrusive. The room itself was well appointed, quiet and clean. A special mention should be made of the concierge, David White in particular, who was patient and helpful and who secured a great table for us at a hard to book restaurant, a special feat on a busy Saturday night. All in all we were delighted with the last minute switch that brought us to this wonderful property. And we should not overlook the waiter at breakfast who made a spot on suggestion of a walking tour of the Boston harbor and who remembered our breakfast preferences from one day to the next.

Much thanks for your detailed review….I’m smiling while reading it. We’re all so glad that you enjoyed your stay – and that we were able to provide the welcome hotel change you were seeking. Your kudos to our staff are much appreciated – and most especially your special recognition of David White. I’m pleased to know that you had the chance to experience so much of what our Back Bay hotel – and the city – have to offer, from breakfast at The Bristol Lounge to a walk along the Boston Harbor. We hope to welcome you back to Four Seasons Hotel Boston again in the future.

Nothing like the Four Seasons. OK, it is expensive but when you need perfect service this is it. Small example - and I'm the small examples we find everything. I stayed for five nights. When my small toothpaste was low, I came in my room and found a new small tube in a box. When I asked the chamber maid she said "of course, this is the Four Seasons". That pride of the entire staff is amazing.

Much thanks for your review. I’m delighted to know that you received the wonderful service that Four Seasons prides itself on. That is just as it should be. We know and appreciate that even the smallest details - and amenities - do matter when traveling. We hope you will once again think of our Boston hotel should future travels return you to our city. It would be a pleasure to host you.

My husband and I lived in the Boston area for many, many years. We return often, and when we do, we always stay at the Four Seasons. In just a few visits, the staff made us feel as though it was our home away from home. The casual and welcoming fineness of the hotel is instantly felt. The Concierge Desk can't do enough for you. They are patient, warm and helpful. They all love to please! The location is walking distance to many shops and restaurants, and the Four Seasons drivers are ready to take you several destinations. The pool area is a special treat, with charming views and service. The dining room is very inviting and cozy. I look forward to being there again next year. Once a year is not enough!

Room Tip: Splurge and book a larger room!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. And thank you also for your loyalty – there’s no greater compliment than having a return guest. I’m happy to know that you receive exceptional service from our entire hard-working team and also that you enjoy the hotel’s central Back Bay location. I would agree too that the 8th Floor swimming pool is a must-visit spot. We look forward with great enthusiasm to hosting you again soon.

We stayed for two nights on the Columbus Day weekend. From the moment we arrived until we left we received excellent service from all of the staff. The room was very tastefully decorated with all the amenities you would expect from a top class hotel. We had a drink in the bar after dinner one evening and the ambience was very good as was the service. Would definitely return if we come to Boston again.

Thank you for your review. I’m thrilled that you had a nice stay and experienced excellent service…that’s the compliment we most love to hear. We’re all pleased that you had a chance to sip a drink at The Bristol Lounge Bar (hopefully one of our signature martinis. If not, they’re a great reason to return!). Your business is appreciated, and we look forward to the possibility of welcoming you back to our Boston hotel in the future.

I enjoyed it very much. The concierge was at all times fully available and a real problem solver. They would be willing to help you much more than in other hotels and always with a big smile. A hotel that is really concerned with its clients is a hotel that I like to stay because I know that I will get the best service at all times. The location also helps to entertain the guests. It is walking distance from any of the best shops of Boston, with a wide range of excellent restaurants. The bar of the is also very good and their Sunday brunch needs an applause.

Room Tip: Park view!

Beautiful hotel and first class amenities. Traveled here for business and thankfully didn't have to pick up the tab. Wow, it's the best, but you certainly pay for it. Staff was professional and warm. Great place to stay on business if you can get your company to foot the bill!

Stayed here for 2 nights on business. Excellent hotel and location. Very top of the line. Only downside was my room was like a normal hotel room, although clean and spacious, no different from what you would expect at a Westin or other 4* hotel chain. Breakfast was good although no buffet.
