What a place The staff is the best in Boston! "Everybody knows your name" We had our family there and the staff was like an extension of our family. The dessert in the Bristol is the best. So after a long day in Boston just go the Bristol plop yourself down on one of the many beautiful red leather couches and order a latte and Boston cream pie and enjoy.

Thanks for your wonderful review about our Boston hotel. Our staff works diligently to provide memorable experiences for guests, and we’re delighted that you experienced just that. It's a joy to hear that you consider our staff to be “an extension of your family;" we view our guests in that very same light. I agree that The Bristol Lounge's dessert buffet is a can't-miss treat. There's also no better place to relax and unwind than in "Boston's living room." We hope to welcome you back again in the future.

Our stay at the Four Seasons was near perfect. I really can't find fault with anything. I was amazed at their attention to detail. Water provided with the turn down service. I had even left my sunglasses out on the desk to find they had left a polishing cloth under them. Staff was very friendly, always met us with a greeting. There really isn't much more to say other than we clearly were very, very satisfied with our stay.

The food at the convention center was great. The meeting space was great. The staff was great. The room overall was wonderful. Have absolutely nothing to complain about. The concierge called for a car ride to the airport and landed us a competent driver in lieu of the scary cab driver that delivered us to the hotel. The entire staff was happy... I think everyone of them was a lotto winner that day.

My wife and I took a special anniversary trip with our two children and having dined at the Bristol Lounge on multiple occasions decided upon a stay at the Four Seasons. We have visited Boston several times and stayed at the Ritz Carlton, Fairmont Battery Wharf, Intercontinental, and the Mandarin Oriental, but what drew us to the Four Seasons was the prominent location and proximity to the Public Garden and Beacon Hill. We were highly anticipating this visit and had high expectations. We arrived well after check-in time in the late afternoon and had to wait several minutes for the valet and in fact, I had to get out of our car and find a valet attendant to park the car and assist with our luggage, which did not make for a good first impression. However, Frederick at the front desk was very welcoming and provided a fast and pleasant check-in along with gifts from the toy wagon for our children. Although we did not have a garden view, we did have a larger than standard room and it was very comfortable and luxurious with a separate seating area and sofa bed. There was nothing special for the kids in the room, although I had called the hotel in advanced and provided their names and ages and was assured that child size bathrobes, slippers, and welcome amenities would be waiting in the room. I also heard from a friend that had stayed at the hotel that their children’s names were written in the bathroom, but this also was not done. We called about these things and a single welcome amenity was brought even though we had two children and none of the other special children’s amenities were delivered. We decided upon ordering room service for dinner and was told a specific time frame for the order to arrive, but had to call multiple times to check on the order each time being assured that it had left and was on its way, but it took much longer than the promised time frame to come. We had asked for turn down service as we were tired and planning on an early start to our day in the morning, but after asking for this no one came and we ended up finding a housekeeper on another part of the floor. A special amenity was delivered shortly after dinner that was a very nice surprise. In the morning, we ordered breakfast through room service and again the order took longer than the time period provided which we had to call to check on since we were waiting on finishing breakfast so that we could leave in time for an appointment, which we nearly missed. When we came back, my kids completed the passport program, again with Frederick, which they very much enjoyed. We tried visiting the gift shop, but it was closed even though it was scheduled to be open. We were able to have the Bristol Lounge host have someone come and open the store. The concierge, I believe his name was Tony, was very helpful with providing a stroller and directions for various sights. When we came back for lunch, the Bristol Lounge was able to accommodate our request for a table by the window, our server Ricardo who we have had on other occasions was fast with providing the food and drink orders as well as very friendly. When we left the restaurant, we again noticed that the gift shop was closed and did not bother waiting for it to reopen. The food was consistently good with room service and the Bristol Lounge, but our stay was not what we had envisioned and did not quite meet our expectations. We were planning to stay here to celebrate our youngest son’s birthday, but we may have to reconsider, as we are not sure it would be a good value for what we received. The overall level of service at the hotel that we experienced was not consistent and seemed off although I believe it could have met or exceeded our expectations with just a small number of modifications.

Thank you for your thoughtful review. We’re dismayed to learn of your less than stellar experience at the Hotel. We pride ourselves on providing thoughtful and highly personalized service always – and in all areas – and in this instance we did not deliver. Your feedback is taken to heart and has been shared with our entire team; on behalf all of us, our sincerest apologies. I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to speak with you further. I can be reached via email at awet.sium@fourseasons.com or via phone at 617-315-2008. As a parent myself, I realize just how special family getaways are and truly hope to have the opportunity to create a wonderful visit for you yet. Thank you again for your comments; we look forward to a second chance to create lasting vacation memories.

On a business trip to Boston, we stayed at the Four Seasons on Boylston and it was a memorable experience. The room was great, but the highest marks would be reserved for the staff. They were extremely helpful and made everything easier. Special kudos to the concierge desk.
