Want a great sandwich then come here. Not cheap but good value. Very tasty, very fresh. Get here at opening and its quiet enough. Service quick and polite. May well be world's best sandwiches

“Possibly The Best Sandwich I've Had”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2013

Got the turkey special, wife got tuna wrap. Stacked full of filling, balance of ingredients perfect, couldn't fault it. Never thought I'd think $30 for two sandwiches was a good deal but happy to be wrong.

Sandwiches are freshly made in front of you. Seating is available if you want to eat in.

Only gripe is that there was no running water in the men's toilet so made washing your hands a bit tricky. Not ideal in a food place, but food itself was amazing.

“They may be correct - World's No.1 sandwich!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2013

We visited Boston as one of our Port's-of-call on the Norwegian Gem cruise ship Canada/New England itinerary. I was disappointed I could not get a good deli sandwich on the ship.

Finding this "Gem" in downtown Boston made up for it!

I had a Pastrami, Deloris had a Corned beef (Which was even better than my sandwich!!), with potato salad and pickles. Place was small, very popular. and worth every cent! Only open from 11am to 3:30pm Monday - Friday. Only a block from Boston Common and some great people-watching.

“Totally worth flying to Boston for - I love it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2013

Ok - you will hate me for saying this but Boston is not my favourite place. Hot and humid in the summer, freezing cold in winter and cold and wet in the summer, there is little good to be said for the place.

But Sam LeGrassa's makes any trip to Boston worthwhile. I will gladly walk 15 minutes through a blizzard, in the sweltering heat or typhoon like rain just to get Sam's sandwich - they are that good!

I only have two complaints, the first is that I love the pastrami sandwich so much I have never got to try any of the other options. My second complaint is that their opening hours are very limited - weekday lunchtimes only. And a third complaint is that they should have stores every 200 yards so you don't have to walk so far. But Sam's is easily worth 5 stars out of 5.

If you don't love Sam's then I will personally give you a full refund!

“Definitely the no 1 sandwich shop in the world”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2013

Saw the shop featured on Diners, drive-in and dives on South African TV and had to stop in when I visited Boston. The best pastrami ever. Wish we had Sam in SA!!!
