“Convenient”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012

We stopped here for dinner before a concert. The place gets a lot of foot traffic and it is well within walking distance of Symphony Hall. We ordered the calamari, dumpling soup, and a Rock-and-Roll.The flavoring of the calamari was excellent but it was super rubbery. The soup was mediocore. The roll was delicious but i don't think it was rolled tight enough, every piece ended up falling apart. The atmosphere is lively and warm. No complaints about the service and the prices are reasonable. The bottom line is that this place didn't woo me enough for a return trip.

“The Best Sushi in Boston”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2012

Whenever we go to the BSO rehearsals, we eat lunch at Symphony Sushi (We do not live in Boston). Their sushi plates and bento boxes are generous and delicious. We especially like their miso soup. It's rich and creamy and better than anything we've had in any other Japanese restaurant or even at home, I'm sorry to say. There are a number of options in bento boxes as there are in soups and sushi plates, so you don't have to have the same dish each time you go. I think I've tried them all and have never been disappointed. My husband has spent a lot of time in Japan and he agrees that Symphoiny Sushi is the best we've found. It's always crowded, but the service is pleasant and efficient and there is a place to sit while you wait. The decor is simple, but the overall experience is very satisfying. By the way, most lunches are under $10.

“Wonderful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2012

We were walking around Boston, and saw an add for this so we went to try it on Sunday Lunch! We sat at the Bar to watch the Sushi Masters in action! I love to watch how fast and well they work together. Being we have and I still do work in the Hospitality Business, when 2 of the chefs were disagreeing and were sent in the back so quickly it amazed us. Then they even did not charge for our drinks, we were not offended, so it was nice they did that. The Sushi was so great, and when the husband was looking for a plug for his phone, they took it behind the stand to charge while we ate. I would highly reccommend. Prices were great and service incredible...

“Great value for money”

Excellent Japanese restaurant close to the Symphony Hall. Great value for money, especially in this neighbourhood. Simple but great food and very friendly service.

“Top Sushi and Reasonable Price!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2012

We've been spoiled by living in Hawaii. The rice is always cooked to perfection in Hawaii and since returning to New England, we were searching for a quality sushi restaurant. We found just that in Symphony Sushi. The rice was perfect. The fish was high quality (not fatty) and the sauces light and tasty.

We still haven't found spicy ahi poke yet but we'll keep trying or learn to make it ourselves.
