“Great food, great setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013

I've been to the Navy Yard Bistro a handful of times and I've never left disappointed. It's a charming place, a neighborhood restaurant. And the food is fantastic - they do a nice job of keeping the ingredients seasonal. The servers are great, and they need to be in a relatively small restaurant that always seems to be packed.

In the nicer weather, they have outdoor seating, which can be really nice, though that area can get pretty windy, so check on that before you sit down and start having your wine glasses blow over - that happened to me once.

The only drawback is that it's not terribly kid friendly - I think that they only have one high-chair in the place. The last time I went, they had no available high chairs, so they gave our nine-month old (and the 13 month-old in the table next to us) a booster seat, which didn't work out so well.

Easy solution is to not bring kids and just enjoy the great food and atmosphere! Oh, they always have a pretty decent craft beer selection. Not huge, but enough to find something that you'll enjoy.

“Not to be missed”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

We had dinner this evening and it was delightful.. We started off with mussels and baked Brie.. Both were out of this world.. I had the salmon and my fiancé opted for he pork chop.. We ordered asparagus and spinach.. The meals were filling and delicious... I can't wait to go back..

“What a little gem!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013

It was an easy walk from the Shipyard Marina. It was a cozy spot on a wintery night, candle lit, attentive but not rushed service, amazing wine list, lots of half bottles. The menu was quite varied but smartly did not overextend their selections, so everything we had was great. Apps of duck legs and fried oysters were both great. The wild mushroom ravioli was awesome. The Pork Osso Bocco was amazing, as well. And NOT Boston prices, which was nice surprise. A definite winner!

“Great Spot for date night or family night”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

Great food, good prices and the wait staff and bartenders are top notch! Small bar and limited seating, so be prepared to wait a bit (but it will be worth it!) Good place to go with friends, family or date night!

“Lovely bistro - good food & good atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

Ate here twice on our visit to Boston - we were staying at The Green Turtle, so was ideal location for us. We were not disappointed with the food - i had scallops one evening, which were delicious. The service was good and the atmosphere was great too. Definitely recommend if you are in the area.
