“Awesome Pastries and Cookies”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2014

Just go there! A young pedi-cab driver recommended this bakery and we are so glad he did. We went completely over the top with the pastries and the cookies. My husband had to stop me or we would have needed a wheelbarrow to move all the goodies out of the bakery. A real local find. Not hyped like the other bakery so you know it's the real deal. Next time we'll try the sandwiches. All yummy, all the time!

“After an Italian dinner, why count calories? STOP HERE FOR DESSERT!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2014

Even though some guy was standing at the counter ordering a wonderful-sounding hot sandwich, we were in for dessert and had to choose between dozens of delicious looking cookies and pastries. And it was just 5 dollars for the two. This whole Little Italy neighbourhood is just a kick to walk around- it was dusk and we felt safe. People were out walking their dogs and kids and smiling at you. Nice.

“Excellent Pastries”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2014

My wife and I had a lobster tail and cannoli, and both were absolutely delicious. We liked Bova's better than Mike's (though both are very very good).

“Italian Meat Sandwich”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2014

This is a small bakery recommended by the Trolley driver Animal!

My husband and kids liked the Italian sandwich. They are able to toast it. The only problem was I am Lactose intolerant and they didn't make any sandwiches without cheese. I suggest they need to make sandwiches without cheese for people with dairy allergies. This bakery is also known for their "rice balls" and they stuff it with spinach and cheese.

“One of the north end's finest”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2014 via mobile

We were walking the north end on a Saturday night. The restaurant were mobbed and the streets were full of people. The lines at the more famous bakeries were very long so we stumbled on a lesser known gem. Bova's was crowded but easily accessible. Very large variety of pastries includes excellent eclairs and cannolis. The Napoleons have a distinctive espresso/chocolate layer reminiscent of tiramisu. We made two visits on separate night and tried all three pastries. Not as well known but as good as the best the north end offers,
