“Great sushi!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2013 via mobile

Stopped here for a late night bite to eat. The spicy crunchy tuna rolls were great. They have a happy hour that starts at 10pm for those looking for late night food. I was in the city for business and busy during traditional dinner time. Trendy setting. It was pretty busy. Prices are good. I posted a pic of the late night happy hour menu with prices...

“Nice place, good food.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013

This restaurant is just on the outskirts of downtown. It has a good atmosphere & the food is of good quality & well cooked. The sushi is made in open kitchens by chefs in front of you.
Portions are not too big which is a nice change in the US.
Not cheap, but would recommend.
We did have to send the bill back as it was incorrect, but otherwise the service was very good.

“Edible, Heavily Localized Food”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

Came here for a business dinner. The place was packed, which in retrospect I find rather surprising.

Problem is, the food did not live up to expectations. What I got was a heavily Americanized version of Japanese food. The first hint at this was when the miso soup was served as a starter rather than with the main dish, as would be the Japanese custom. The tempura portion was generous, but much more heavily encrusted in batter than it should have been. The ponzu was fairly bland, with a homeopathic dose of ground radish; on request, I got a tiny bit more of radish.

Service generally was slow.

Overall, edible but nowhere close to genuine Japanese food.

“Good Japanese restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013

Great variety of dishes and good quality food. A little bit pricey if you consider the portions, which are smaller than they usually are in the area. Tasty and well presented dishes. Sushi rolls delicately made but salads, especially the seaweed salad, seem to be too small and rapidly assembled.

Nice staff and good decoration.

“Delicious and beautiful sushis & sashimis”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2013

One of the top sushi restaurants for taste and THE best for presentation. It felt like eating works of art. We were 5 so we tried many combinations that we shared and were all very good and one of the most elegant presentation is the Symphony.
Our daughter is vegetarian and the waitress was very helpful proposing something that didn't seem to be on the menu but they were accustomed to do for vegetarians (and no bad surprise on the bill). The waitress was knowledgeable of the menu which sounds like an obvious expectation on my part but often I'm disappointed - not here, she was perfect.
Whenever in Boston again, I'll definitely return.
