“Nice hidden gem with delicious food and fast service!”

This hidden smaller restaurant has a great menu and good food. It has a mix of Indian and Thai and boasts great flavors and a helpful staff that are attentive and courtious. Its hard to find on the main st of smaller West Roxbury but worth the trip out from the city hustle and bustle. Went here again last night and as always this is just outstanding Indian Food! The service is fast and pleasant and the prices are moderate.

The food is spiced right and just creative and delicious! It may not look like much on the outside, but the place is quite large on the inside and has a very large menu of very creative dishes. Despite what other reviewers say about this place, I have tried my share of Indian food in the metro area and not many compares to this place.

Very fresh, very good. i love the food here, especially the chicken Korma. They will make everything as spicy or mild as you want it.

“Had very mediocre dinner...”

Had very mediocre dinner there last night. Went with a party of 8 - a few things were good - the rest was bland. Seafood was not overly fresh. Dal was flavorless. Naan was brought to the table after all the entrees were delivered. Service was friendly, but extremely slow. I wanted to like the Himalayan Bistro - but I will go back to the Punjab Cafe in Quincy and Masala Art in Needham. Much better!!

Excellent Indian food. Non-tacky decor -- very tasteful. So is the food. The only reason i didn't give it 5 stars is that they leave large cardamom seeds in the rice -- do not eat them, they're gross.
