“Second time at Oishii: second time delighted”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2013

We wondered if they could impress us again. We had sushi in many great places around the world and believe we know what we are talking about. Oishii did it again with sushi of exception, different and incredibly tasty. Service was excellent, present when needed but not overwhelming. We will certainly make it a tradition to go there again next time in Boston. However, quality has a price and it is pricey but in my view well worth it.

“Unconventional and not oishii”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2012

Sashimi was okay but sushi was unconventional and definitely not oishii. Overall, foods there to me were results of someone's desire to be creative and different gone bad. Apparently things seemed okay to my son and daughter-in-law, though. Different taste for different generation?

“BEST sushi I've ever had.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2012

Sushi + decadence= OISHII!!

We were visiting Boston for the first time, and found this place on Yelp. We made a reservation for lunch and were seated immediately when we came in. I had the Hamachi Truffle Maki and my partner had the HUGE lunch special. Both were amazing! Everything was super fresh and extremely attractive!

Definitely recommend this place!

“Overrated and overpriced.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2012

What's with the waiters being so unfriendly and unsmiling. Our waiter was not rude but just very unfriendly and arrogant; weird attitude.

The food is good but not worth the price. The pieces of Nigiri are just tiny, what a rip off honestly to charge 7$/piece... The best piece out of the 10 I ordered was the King Salmon the rest was just average, nothing you can't get @ Douzo, Fugakyu or Haru... The rolls were also average and nothing justifies the 20-25$ per piece. We also ordered a Spicy Tuna Appetizer, what a waste of 14$, not even spicy. This is my 3rd visit to this location and probably the last.

Disappointed! And the restaurant is not even nice... several rooms, cold decor and dark paint, pretending to be fancy, but it's not welcoming.. and what about this giant screen showing a Football game??? is this a sport bar or a Japanese fancy restaurant...
