“Best restaurant on our 18 day road trip in the US”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2008

We visited Toro based on its good reviews here on Tripadvisor when we stayed in Boston, July 2008, and we were not disappointed. The corn cobs with aioli and cheese were just divine, as were the mini kobe hamburgers. Actually all the tapas we tried (5-6 different ones) were really excellent.

The service was also good, and we sat in the outdoor section that was really nice. The only thing that wasn't top notch was the Sangria, but it was still good.

While Toro might not be worth a trip in itself it's certainly worth a big detour.

Someone mentioned that it's hard to reach with public transport, but it's certainly not. The silver line buses frequently service the stops near Toro along Washington Street, and we walked to the city center without a problem (which you might need after all the good food) and it takes about half an hour. We walked around 11:30 p.m. and it felt perfectly safe.
